PayPoint - What the hell is it?

Recommended Posts

I got my water bill today. It's all in Thai except for one word PayPoint. My wife says I can pay it if I can find a PayPoint location.

The water company here doesn't tell you where to pay - there is no address on the bill - only a phone number. Stupid.

Where does one pay the water bill?

You can indeed pay at any 7-11 for an additional 10 baht on top of your bill.

Same for electric but you can only use this payment option for normally 7 days from date of bill otherwise its a trip to there offices for payment.

Almost all 7elevens provide so called "Counter Service" where you can pay most bills like water, electricity, phone and even credit card bills....

Pay Point is a similar payment service at any JayMart

You can also pay most of these bills at any Thai Post office with "Pay at Post" service.

Usually you see the payment options on the back of the Bill (at least in Bangkok) or somewhere at the website of the company.

cheers
