Taxi rates from new airport?

Recommended Posts

Is there any indication as yet what taxi rates from the new airport to Pattaya/Bangkok will be? It is significantly closer to Pattaya than the old airport is, so rates should be lower - and journey time should be shorter.

Besides, world oil prices have declined considerably, the decline is reflected in prices we pay at the pump in the US. Has there been any change in Thailand?

price will be about the same...just get Mr. Toom - you can find him all over this board - 1200 baht all in including tolls - not worrying about paying less from new airport - more concerned about getting to Pattaya anbout 30 - 40 minutes quicker

Flew in with Airasia yesterday from Singapore 4.25pm.

Taxi rate from terminal building was 1300 baht (wanted 1500) inc tolls.

Travel time 90 mins to North road including 5kms of roadworks 35kms out from Pattaya.

Waited 15mins for shuttle bus to transportation centre at airport one never came............maybe because official opening is 28th?

Anyway couldnt be pestered to travel into Morchit so taxi it was.

It should be cheaper and you could probably find mini buses that takes you to Pattaya real cheap.

When I go from the airport in Bangkok I never pay more then 1000B+toll

Just be carefull when they offer you a nice new car for the trip and after 10min drive thei take you to a petrolstation and will change car to a bucket of rost for the rest of the trip.If you want to travel by limo always order it from the counters in the airport or book it with Thaiairways.

Taking taxi in and around Bangkok always make shure the driver put the meter on,it will always be cheaper then the fixed price.

The cheapest way is to take the bus from the airport to Bangkok downtown, its safer and much cheaper.

You mean 106 bath by airconditioner bus from the new airport to LOS. If so, how long the drive from the new airport to Jomtien? Is the bus similar to the one from Ekamai to LOS which runs every half an hour and is very convenient (non stop) and much safer and conformtable? I expect the traveling time to be less than 1 1/2 hour as previously the bus from Ekamai tool only 1 1/2 hour.

Thanks mate
