Looking for Somewhere like

Recommended Posts

Wonderin if you lot could help me out

Tried to book for Sunview place on Soi Buakhow for 18th Jan - 2nd Feb. Booked out apparently

Looking for somewhere like that, same price (about 1000) or little bit. Dont mind being that far out of the way, better than being in middle of Walking St, Soi 7 anyway. Would like a pool if poss as well but not essential, and good tv as have tg coming down from Udon Thani and she will most probably enjoy watching TV while i might get lost down Soi 6. Therefore, no JF either. Am bringing one mate, with possibly a second joining for a few days

Any ideas. I know Im picky. Also, if the place you suggest is likely to be sold out, please tell me that as well

Cheers

Hi Seabass, there are loads of places on Soi Buakhao mate, decent & clean to. Try checking the reviews section here in the forum. From memory, there is a place called Thompson House, others include Shearers Guesthouse, Diana Millennium, Diana Estates, Le Katai etc. You can also find rooms in the adjoining soi,s, such as Soi Lengkhee, Soi LK Metro & Soi Chaiyapoon. If your looking for more central, Soi Yamtato has a place called Sa Apartments which i can recommend, or you could try Soi 13 which has an array of accommodation to suit your needs. Hope you find this helpful. Mr Sangthip :eyecrazy

Following on from this, i put in some reservations on hotels so I got somewhere.

I now have the choice of these 3

Sabai Inn

Jasmine Mansions

Siam Sawasdee

I have read all the reviews.

Which, in your opinions would be best for a man with a thai gf staying with them, but also wanting a holiday with a mate coming to pattaya for the first time

I stayed at Jasmine Mansions for three and a half weeks in August/September this year and can highly recommend it. There were several long time visitors there who were in residence with thier Thai GF's. The staff are very friendly to your lust de Jour, no joiner fee and very good security. Safes in all rooms. Kevin and Jin, the owners are a lovely couple who will do everything to make your stay a good one. Will probably stay there again in Feb. Food is good too.

Two votes for Jasmine Mansion.

I stayed there for ten days in April and if I was doing another short stay that would be my first choice.

There is no lift, so if a couple flights of stairs would be a problem for you it might not be the right hotel.

But I agree with the other poster in all respects. It's kept very clean (think it's only been around for two years) and Kevin or Jin seem always available for any questions or issues. The staff was top notch when I was there and I found it very good value. I've posted a review of it in the hotel review section as Vikingfan.

There is a new place nearing completion on Soi Buakaow near the Night Market. My guess is that it should be ready by Dec. Since it hasn't opened it shouldn't be booked out. Just a short walk over to Sois 7 & 8 and the baht bus route out front will take you to the Walking St area or up to Big C.
