Sorry to everyone for getting back to you a bit late,[and thanks big dusa cyber,scumbag].

i wanted to be sure how things work at the new airport,i have not had time to read other threads.

and jan wanted to ask the thais how things work,

So its now 1600bt from the new airport to pattaya,[no service to bkk from airport]......and return is 1400bt to new airport from pattaya.........hotel pickup in bkk still old price 2000bt to pattaya.

to utapao and pick up to pattaya from utapao 600bt....koh samet either way 1000bt.

We still have beer in the esky [cold]and soft drink ,water. all included free.

and its still the same car toyota vigo 4 door ute,for lots of luggage.

and please always email us at catsmad@yahoo.co.uk for your and our details,as it the best way to get the details clear.

if you arrive at night late after 10.30pm you get a clear run around 1hr 20min,to pats,arrive mid morning over 2hrs with the rd works.

their is a co-ordinated rip off from the taxi stand at new airport. Started at B1200, then B1500, then B1600 if you use meter it is less than B1000.

 

Also to save time tell driver to go highway #7 to highway #36 and then to highway #3 and avoid the construction bottleneck when they go #7 to #3. It will cut at least 15 minutes off your travel time.

I loved it and so did sasa ,as did jan when she was,not sick,,playgrounds galore [little or none in pattaya].but a few things went wrong.

 

i should have know someting was going to go wrong when sasa was in hospital before we left,

jan got sick too,got to the air port plane cancelled,got to sydney and they said my passport to damaged,

get a new one ,sent it too bris,for visa,it got lost,had to changed return to syd,till i found my passport[at a cost]..the day before we left sasa got kicked by a horse 5 stiches,and i had to jan to hospital with a kidney infection,

we got to the airport and the plane was canceled again,last mon, tues jan in hospital,but is well now[i HOPE To BUDDA,..i am still looking for the chinaman i killed.

we will go back again next year,the cold coast is great for young and old,

and pattaya,, well thats the best playground of all.

Sounds like an interesting trip Paul. You'll have to fill in all the details over a few beers at the Five Star next week. Looking forward to seeing Jan tomorrow night..
