Can anyone tell me about the status of the lift, pool & construction noise?

Thanks in advance.

I spoke to a resident today who said the lift is working. I don't know about the pool or noise.

I stayed there 2 weeks ago and they just got the lift fixed on my last day. If you get a room at the front of the hotel the noise can be very annoying as they are building directly opposite. This building work starts around 8 am and can go on until 10pm som evenings.

Cannot say about the pool although it wasn't in service while I was there.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Martin - see you in a little more than 3 weeks.

Thanks to you too blacknight. Bummer - my room will be up front facing Soi 13. Will just have to make do.

I am in the whithouse right now. The in room internet works great. 100 baht a day, but a nice fast connection 24/7. Lift is working. I have not heard any constuction noise. They are building a large new hotel across the street. My room is in the front of the building facing dynasty and I haven't heard anything. owuld attribute that to the double pane insulated windows and sliding glass doors. In addition to being energy efficient they also reduce outside noise substantially. I would not worry about the construction.

I will check on the pool and post later.

Thanks cowboy.

I have stayed at Whitehouse twice earlier this year. I agree that the double paned glass makes a huge difference to silence the outside noise. Nonetheless I appreciate your opinion. I was thinking of moving over to SS this time, but instead will stick with Whitehouse.

Hi guys

I stayed at the Whitehouse earlier in the year and the thing that put me off staying there again this month was the shower, the water would constantly go hot and cold. Apart from that I thought it was great.

Was the shower like this in your rooms too, or was it just down to the room I had?

Cheers

I can identify with your shower experience. I learned to finesse the control and made out fine after the 1st couple of days. Usually turned to full hot for about a minute and then could adjust fine. Whenever that didn't work, I would rotate the handle to full cold and then back to full hot and that always worked.

The pool is a no go. They have it completely torn up and were jackhammering it in monday the 27th of nov. I doubt it will be functional for a while.

I also found that the hot cold water shower expeince could be easily solved by turning it all the way to hot and letting it runs for a couple of minutes. Once the water got hot and stayed that way then the controls worked fine and I culd set the water at the exact temperature I liked.

Okay, just looking for any current updates. <huh

Can I assume all is still the same?

* No joiner fee for one but pay for second

* Is the pool completed yet

* Any construction going on near by. Need that day time sleep!

* Any other suggestions for a 1 bedroom suite for the same money?

Thanks in advance
