Hello again. I have read all about the visas but something is still unclear. I plan to enter for a 2-3 week period in mid Jan and then leave for Philippines for a month and then come back to LOS for another 2 weeks.I thought they would be considered 2 separate visits and not requiring getting a visa ahead of visit. I will have RT tickets both from USA to BKK and from BKK to Manila. Will I have a problem? Thanks

you should be fine with VOA, visa on arrival

 

they are for 30 days, which can be extended at Immigration for 1,900 Baht

Maybe confusing but it's not a visa on arrival which cost from 1,000 baht, instead it's a visa exempt which is free of charge.

Given that you have tickets to leave the country for both times you enter you will have no problems.

You won't have any problems as both visits are for less than 30 days.

 

Where problems MAY arise is when people have been in the country on 30 days stamps for 90 days in the last 180 days (or perhaps even 3 successive 30 day stamps). Exactly how Immigration interpret the ruling in practice should become clearer next month.
