I was in a sleepy little town over the weekend watching BGs play connect four and wonder why they'd rather play that stupid game than chat up customers

 

another bar I won't back into soon unless I see good amount of the staff changed

 

sometimes they just have no motivation at all whether it be with a resident or a short time tourist

 

I had some want to be my live-in, but I don't want a BG in my life, just gets in the way of finding a non-P4P gal

 

not to mention they couldn't stand it, not going out EVERY night, etc.

 

 

Maybe your reputation precedes you, or maybe they are smarter than you give them credit for. I have found Thai bar girls to be very perceptive.

my reputation would certainly precede me as I know most of those bars quite well.

 

I see the other punters in that same bare also get no attention paid to them.

 

I wonder how the BGs survive at all, as they don't seem to be motivated to try and earn money

 

I might go back if they get a change in staff or change owners/managers

 

just down the street in another bar there's one that wants to be my ONLY gal in that town. I don't really see the incentive for me as she will still be screwing every tom and hairy dick while I am outta town

 

the original incentive was that she would come stay with me after work for free, but we all know how free become not-so-free in the morning

 

a week later she's working as a full-fledged BG from the former job of waitress

 

so I guess she was "perceptive" enough to realize the better money lays with laying on your back

The other women who live in the building, the women who work in your building, the women who have shops in the neighborhood, the lady with the cart on the corner who your girl buys soup from, even the mototaxi guys in your neighborhood, they will ALL tell your girl if you take another girl to your apartment. Thais stick together, and they hate to see a neighborhood girl being taken advantage of by a falang.

I agree that the chance of getting in trouble is substantially diminished by sticking to your sensible rules.

But I think you may have a slightly upbeat view of Thai society and some Thai peoples intentions. A girl with a farang boyfriend impels a lot of envy, especially with other ladies. They will tell her all right! But not because of feelings of solidarity or sympathy, but because of unholy glee.
