Hi there, I have been struggking whether to book the Penthouse hotel for my next trip in July'07. I see that alot of the reports are 2 years old so I was wondering if anyone can give a more current update

Much appreciated

I like the Penthouse Hotel. Others pan it. Why not stay somewhere else first. Then, when you hit town, make a point of checking it out. Be sure to see the indoor pool.

The Penthouse Hotel is unique. Here's one description:

‘Subtle’ it is not. It’s decorated like a brothel. The rooms are done up like something out of The Arabian Nights: Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves.

There are mirrors on the walls, on the ceiling, a bar to hold onto at the head of the bed which itself is 3 feet off the ground (just at waist level), you get the idea. And if you go for the Penthouse Party Patpong room, you get a disco dance stage – with lighting, ’massage’ sex swing (A signed “not responsible for injuries” document is required for use), along with a Jacuzzi, multi-head shower, mirrors, and the rest.

But wait! You can get even more outrageous with the Babylon Suite Triplex (I’m afraid to know what more is included as my heart might not be able to take it). The mind boggles.

You’re not going to find many hotels like this. There’s also a fantasy fun spa that must be seen to be believed. It’s available for private parties. The Penthouse Hotel is not for slackers. There is a certain level of debauchery you’re expected to uphold here.

Guest friendly you ask? Anything short of sheep is considered fair game (Sorry, New Zealanders, but there are limits.) The rooms are made up twice a day. Oh, and each room has an extensive supply of whatever you might be in need of: toiletries, snacks, mini-bar, condoms, lube, dildos, and bondage supplies.

There’s an orientation notebook that has, in addition to what’s going on in town and a restaurant menu, some heartfelt advice suggesting that using condoms might be a good idea. The notebook even attempts to cast light on the concept of ladyboys (it’s hard to figure out where they fit into the spectrum of things so to speak, but then again, how many people really understand Einstein’s General Theory of Relativity?)

Oh, oh! Almost forgot. The television has a closed circuit security channel offering a view into the Kitten Club gogo on the ground floor. Gogo girl room service anyone?

The last time I checked the place out the rooms were just like the "Kittens" .... old, worn out and overpriced.

Maybe they have refurbished since then because they certainly need refurbishment.

I hope the GoGo bar is the only room being watched on CCTV

I stayed at the Penthouse Siam Suite for two weeks. No complaints about the hotel but the girls at the Kitten club were not worth a second glance. I had no problem bringing other women to the hotel and thay all wanted to watch the Porn channels that are also on the TV. I did not even realize they were on the TV but the girls all new and went right to them

I stayed a night in one of the suites a few years ago, more as a practical joke on a freind that was visiting from the States who had never been to Pattaya. It is pure over the top sleeze, but the rooms were clean and I didn't see any cockroachs. And God knows it's in the middle of the action. Don't bother with the Kitten Club.

I must go to the Penthouse hotel in August for 4 days (i stayed 2 days last year and really like the room , i dont know if i was lucky but i dont' seen cockroachs in my room).

I like the mirror, the bed and especially the looking of the hotel.

The bad news is that now is overpriced (but for some days is ok).

I stayed in the pattaya room (1200 baht) but with tax and service cost more than 1500.

I just got back from Pattaya and I stayed at the Penthouse. I enjoyed my stay there. The rooms are a little pricey, but the location was great. The Kitten's in the Kitten Club have improved. I usually started my night there. Next time though I will stay in a less expensive hotel.
