45,000 Free miles on United Mileage Plus

Recommended Posts

This works in the USA

Here's how I did it.

I bought one round trip ticket from Richmond, VA to Bangkok. This gives slightly more that 20,000 miles.

Then signed up for a United credit card an additional 20,000 miles

and opened Fidelity brokerage account with $50,000 ( a good discount stock broker) and got 25,000 miles.

Following is the summary of my mileage.

I received over 60,000 miles good for another ticket.

Good for you Hound 2guns

I paid for 2 trips on United, signed up for 7 credit cards, received bonus miles for various free offers, and accumulated slightly over 180,000 miles.

5 trips for the price of 2. Not bad for someone who doesn't have 50k laying around and doesn't fly except to LOS.

I've also banked 85k miles on AA from one flight and various miles offers.
