Hello Gentlemen.

I just joined this forum and hope to broaden my horizons, gain and share my Thai experiences with you.

I live in the UK for now but coming back to Pattaya right after new year to look at the possibility of moving out there and maybe doing some business.

My story is probably similar to a lot of you. I have been through Divorce, Marriage and the UK visa process for my Family.

Thank you for allowing me to join the forum.

Try and become a Board Member. There is an Expat section for those who have done what you want to do.

I have to say in advance, it is the opinion of many, ( me included ) that to make a small fortune in Thailand, you have to start with a large one.

Good Luck.

Hi Thai4me,

Welcome to the forum from one newbie to another.I had'nt discovered this forum before coming on my first trip to LOS last January. Now I check it out out nearly every day to see what the latest news is.

There is some pretty fascinating stuff to be found especially on Members Trip reports, which can give a first class insight of what Pattaya is all about, not to mention valuable information on accommodation, bars and where all the nicest ladies hang out.Trouble is I've found that Pattaya has just about taken over my life at the moment and like others I just live for the moment I'll be back there. In my case Jan/Feb 2008.

I've heard that many times before. I just want to invest in some property and maybe set my Wife up in a small business.

Thanks.

I will be back then also.

I'm a newbie to this forum but not really a Pattaya newbie. I had lived and visited Thailand for close to ten years now and been through the highs and lows that make it the experience that it is.

OK then.I was really talking about "newbie" with respect to the forum and how I really dipped out on my first trip, not having gained any knowledge, from the forum, about the place.I had gathered from your original post that you had been to LOS previously.Anyway perhaps meet up in FLB for drink or two and a chat.I'll be around for a month from Jan 24th.Counting the days

I look forward to it. I will be there a bit before you and can check out the FLB bar. I have been many years ago when it was an Australian gent who was the Manager.

We had a good night in there. :nod

AFAIK, no Australian has been manager or owner of FLB. You might be thinking of PattayaPete, a New Zealander. I think they sound about the same too. :nod

I think he was referring to Ben when he was there, he does sound a bit like a Australian Martin :fight
