Any one with knowledge about Arcadia Mansions?

 

is it any good, what are facilities like, guest friendly etc..

Also contact info or web site please.

If this is the one on Soi 14 just down from Tim's Botique, then it is an acceptable hotel for what you pay.

 

The deluxe is two rooms, two smallish balconies, BUT they face the beer bars on Soi Dianne. So, it will be noisy in your room until they turn the sound down sometime after midnight. Ok for some who are out till 2 in the morning. I tended to have my barfine and in bed by that time of night.

 

The standard rooms are fine, I moved to one after the first night of noise, they have one balcony. Both rooms have nice size fridge. The standard rooms were MUCH less noisy.

 

Right across from the entrance is a very good laundry not costly, I would use it for sure.

 

I would also buy a couple of towels, I just didn't like the ones they had. Just me probably, they didn't have enough cotton in them for absorbancy.

 

There is an email address somewhere but I don't have it any more. In any case, the email goes to someone in Bangkok. Oh yes, they have in room safes now, installed them while I was there.

 

Short walk up to 2nd road to new shopping center or Kiss resturant.

 

I thought the price was okay, get a better rate if you stay for a week.

 

No walk of shame, staff were friendly.

Be sure to use the laundry across from their front entrance, I like the people that work there. On a dead end street like Soi 14, they appreciate the business.

First time I ever hear anybody promote a laundry service :-)

 

2 real questions. What rate for the rooms, and how would you compare them to day Tim's and Areaca.
