I assumed the link was spam or semi-spam, but being bored I followed it anyway.

 

The link is to a simple list of hotel+location+phone+www

 

Perhapse the best "quick ref" list of hotels I have seen, congrats and thanks.

 

To fellow boardies, it's a nice quick link and suggeest you send the dude any contact info on other hotels you would like added.

 

I would even suggest moving this thread to a sticky.

Let's keep it accurate for the viewers: stereo, secrets, nirvana, the rock house and a couple more were added.

 

Additionally, names and locations were cleaned up and lots of extraneous data (prices, photos, joiner fees, internet access, WiFi etc) was omitted. With my limited web building knowledge, I had to manually update the links which took a bit of time and I searched for hotels without URLs listed.

 

Most people would like a simple, clean, one page listing of the hotels along with their associated links and would not have a problem foregoing the extraneous data mentioned above.

 

There is plenty of room for different versions of hotel website listings and the current intention for my website is to keep it as simple as possible.

I think Joiner Fee = Yes/No, and price if Yes, is a pretty fundamental bit of info for any Pattaya hotel list though.

Appreciate the effort you took,but bear in mind that we members cannot get enough tips/advice on this subject ! Sounds as if your miffed/jealous for no reason at all,the more choice the merrier!

Yes Piero, I presumed that it took you awhile to compile the information and that is another reason why I did not feel right about including the Wifi, internet, joiner information or photos. Those items are typically gathered by actual visits, emails, phone calls and I did not feel right lifting that portion.

 

Ideally, both lists would have email listings for the hotels without websites. Maybe that will be the next step with my site. If/when that is done, you can copy the info and add to your site.

 

We all appreciate the work you put into your list. If you like, I could put a link to your site on my page.

 

Feel free to copy the links for the items not covered on your website.

You are correct, but how many one man gangs have the time to contact each hotel to confirm the particulars about joiners? Some hotels say the first joiner is free and some say that there is a fee for 2 or more. I do not have the time to check and continually re-check information as policies change. If the list were just a few, then sure no problemo. But the list is around 300 hotels long. If I had all the emails then I would send out a bulk email and query. Hmmm.... that just gave me an idea!!

It's not a problem if somebody take my list, but it was better if someone make also a complete list because the list in the official http://pattaya.com/hightlight/hotel/hotel_all.asp is abolutely not right, about 100 hotels of the list change name or a closed you can check my list of changing hotel on http://pattayaone.com/hotelclosed.html

Thanks for the list, I am sure it may come in very handy one day. From a business perspective, I recon you should charge the hotels a small fee for listing on there, then create larger adds and charge bigger fees as I am sure it will be an extremely usefull site.

 

Not to mention for a small fee to charge visitors, you could create a single email group and add the email addresses of the hotels to it, then the visitors would be able to send one email enquiry to a large number of hotels and then judge and decide which hotel from the replies they receive.

 

Or another one is you could also charge visitors to make an enquiry on their behalf as finding hotels in Pattaya in the busy season can be extremely hard as you know.
