Thai Palace Guesthouse on soi 4

I'm thinking about booking into the Thai Palace on soi 4.

 

I've walked past and seen the balconys with the grills on them ! Never got round to having a look at the rooms though. I do like staying in that general area. I was reading about their monthly rates and they're certainly cheap enough if you're there for a few months. The reviews I've read on this board are from 2004 and 2005 and seem positive. Has anyone been there recently ? Would appreciate any up to date reviews of this 'palace' !
