Hi,

Been lurking for a while and thought about time to get involved. Wealth of info here so thanks to all who have chipped in.

Been to Patts a couple of times and probably stopping by for a few weeks in September. I am able to basically get a free week at the Nirana Place through some timeshare and was hoping to get a bit more info on the place. Looks great on the website. Are they guest friendly? WIll they charge joiner fees for more than 1 bg? Much of a hassle to get to the action?

Many thanks

The apartments that are sold as hotel rooms are excellent value for money. I've no idea whether the apartment you are looking at is furnished to the same standard or not. Again, without knowing the T&Cs of your timeshare it's impossible to tell what is or isn't included. Certainly, for "hotel guests", there is no joiner fee of any kind. Getting to/from either Pattaya or Jomtien is a straightforward choice between the Baht buses that pass directly outside or using one of the moto-sai guys. I never found it to be much of an issue but some guys are averse to the moto-sai guys for whatever reason.

Hey Tom,

Nice pics. Did you take those? if so can you tell me what configuration/room type that is? The timeshare agent is quoting a 2 b/room, sleeps 4 and going by their website the basic 2 bedder is a Deluxe Suite so fingers crossed. I have just emailed the hotel direct to try to clarify. Sounds about my style re loaction, I find the throng a bit intense.

sweetbacks,

Yes, I took the pics. The room is a one-bed superior. The one-bed and two-bed deluxe suites basically cover the same floor area but the one-bed has a more spacious layout.

A big plus about the place is that it is also home to Mata Hari and Manhattan's ......... probably two of the best restaurants in town.

Thanks Tom. News just keeps geting better. Looks like won't be such a bad thing if it rains all of Sept!

Don't worry ......... it sits at the top of the hill so you're not going to get flooded like everywhere else. :clap1

Nirvana is a old building with some clever refurbishing.

For example, mirrors are used to make the rooms look bigger, but there are no elevators even though the building is three stories.

short,

You are talking about a totally different place in Jomtien Soi 4. :D

There are two elevators at Nirvana Place and the basic rooms at 77 sq m hardly need mirrors to make them appear big.
