KUL airport

Well it looks like Air Asia for Si to travel to London.

 

The London flight will orig' in KUL. Si will have to fly from BKK, claim her bag and then re check in for London.

She is not the most experienced flier and worries about airport check-in and stuff. She speaks good English, so should be OK in that department.

 

Can anyone tell me if KUL has separate Terms for local and long haul flights ? Will it involve a lot of walking to check in from arrivals ?

 

I asked a Travel Agent in LOS if the bag could be tagged thru to final dest', but even if you fly Air Asia both legs, it isn't done- due to the non free baggage allowance, I suppose.

 

Any info I can give her will be much appreciated.

Assuming she is flying BKK-KUL on Air Asia, it is the same terminal and miles from the main KL International Airport complex so there is no chance of getting confused. The good news is the KL LCCT (Low Cost Carrier Terminal) is on one level and is pretty small so not much chance of getting lost either.

 

I may be going through the LCCT in the next couple of weeks. If so, I'll get some pics for what she should be looking out for and send them to you.
