Displayed prices are for multiple nights. Check the site for price per night. I see hostels starting at 200b/day and hotels from 500b/day on agoda.

In Oct 2007, I spent 5 nights at the Royal Princess. It definately was not a mongering hotel. It would be great for you and your daughter. It included a very good buffet breakfast, and was 1600 baht for single. Located right on the Night Market, and a short walk to the moat. I would recommend it.

The Small Hotel is located adjacent to the day market and within walking distance of most attractions within the walls. Rates are 1,900 Baht on their website for but can be had for 1,300 Baht (plus 480 Baht if you want an extra bed) through www.latestays.com.

Mick,

The place has only been open for 5-6 months and the one review on Asia rooms relates to the first couple of weeks during its soft opening. Agoda probably has the best selection of up-to-date reviews ....

The Imperial Mae Ping specialises in package tours.
