A friend of mine has been staying there since March. It's a fairly large basic room with air con, Thai style toilet, small TV and small balcony. He pays ฿8,000/month plus electric and water; the last two months his electric (฿7/unit) has been about ฿2,000 and ฿3,000. His water has been about ฿100 each month. There is no elevator, but it is only three floors, so not that big of a deal. Wifi is free if you ask reception for the password, but there is no room cleaning unless you pay ฿200 each time.

Navin II which is right next door, has bigger rooms with LCD TVs, daily room cleaning and water and electric are included for ฿17,000/month. It is five floors high, but there is an elevator.

You mean they have a Thai style squat shitter ?? In a apartment block no doubt built for farangs ??

Think I will cross off my list if that's the case.

No I didn't mean squat toilet, I meant Thai style toilet (bathroom) where the shower is right next to the toilet with no curtain. I forgot to mention, he is on month to month with ฿8,000 security deposit. There are cheaper places if you're willing to sign a lease, but the price at Navin is not bad for month to month.

The area is not bad, and is very quiet after Carrefour closes. There is 24 hour reception and security directly outside the building.

Ok fair enough-no problem with that.If I ever make it back to Pattaya I intend to make somewhere a bolt hole and have had some good reports on this place.
