i seem to recall an earlier post that said that when you report to immigration they now give you a test on thai language to prove that you are actually learning? I guess this is not a backdoor way to get a twelve month visa for someone under 50 who cant get a multiple entry, but a visa for someone who will learn thai.

Hi there may or may not be a cursory test. It should be relatively basic in most cases.

Compared to other visas this has the lowest reserve / income requirements and documentation so

it is a good option for many. Only 2 hours per week is the required study.

What's the name of your school/company and where is it located? It would appear to be quite difficult to "just come in and pickup the forms and meet with our staff" without that sort of info.

Don't you have to go back to your home country to actually get issued with the visa from your local Thai Consulate/Embassy?

Hi anyone interested in booking an appointment please contact me. I am a sales person for the school so I am able to

give you a discount you could not get directly. Just call me please as requested.

I am an American living here for 4 years and a native English speaker why would you ask.

Thanks

To answer your other question, you can apply for it from any embassy outside Thailand it does not have to be your home country. Many students get it from Penang or Laos etc We handle all this paperwork and you would advise us where you will be waiting for it so we can make arrangements.

Because your grammar is disgraceful and as a representative of a school I find that unprofessional and quite frankly laughable !

Honeypot -

I am just typing up some quick responses to questions not writing a spell checked formal essay. Also it does not allow me to edit responses later.

I am a sales person for them not a language teacher. If you want to proof read some language and make a critique

there are probably many other better opportunities than my quickly typed responses. If you are not interested in an ED visa then

I do not think we do not have any thing to discuss.

But surely as a representative of any business you should act in a professional manner ? If you cannot do it, get someone to do it for you ! If you worked for me and were advertising my business you would be fired on the basis of your last posts !

Seriously, you are representing a language school ! A place of education ? Is this for real or do you just enjoy making a complete idiot of yourself and dragging your employers down ?

The language most people are learning to get the visa is Thai. I have no issue with you honeypot

perhaps you can go pick on someone else. Why are you being so unkind I have not done one thing to you.

This thread is regarding an ED visa. I am a sales person for them not a teacher, and there is nothing wrong with my responses.

Perhaps you can find a more productive thing to do than take an issue with my grammar.

Ok, respond in Thai with grammatical perfection and I will issue an apology. Sadly, your credibility is pretty much shot already. I assume you are on a commission only basis ? If not your employers may be solely responsible for the global credit crunch !

No honeypot it is you who are forcing your "Grammar Police" ideals on a casual reply.

I do not owe you any explanation nor further reply, nor do I work for you thank god.

We have plenty of credibility whether you think so or not, perhaps you have something better to do than troll.

Singular, how can I be "are" ? As already stated, you are a representative of A LANGUAGE SCHOOL, A PLACE OF INSTRUCTION AND EDUCATION ! Seriously, would you be impressed ? You would be better off selling Kirby hoovers in Warrington.

Surely the most appropriate thing would be to say exactly which language school you are touting for and let the BMs decide whether or not you have plenty of credibility. You provide no website, only obscure claims as to what you offer.

Honeypot - thanks for your opinion, so sorry we could not be of service to you. I am here to inform anyone

who is interested in an ED visa about the service we provide.

I hope you can find a better language school sales person that uses Oxford English to your liking.

Once I write my thesis for you in a simple forum reply, then you oh great one can decide who is qualified to sell you an ED visa.

Sorry I am not worthy. Maybe some day once i get a Phd just to please you. LMFAO

This ED visa is more oriented towards giving people a general overview of a language thus the 2 hour a week study requirement.

It is a lot easier way for foreigners to stay in Thailand long term that some people are not aware of. I think we offer an excellent service for a fair price

sorry you do not agree. We are one of the only schools offering this visa that offers online lessons also. We are a private language achool approved by the MOE

and we do around 100 of these visas a month so far no complaints.

There are those however who have a a mentality that makes them likely complain and cause problems about anything, and are impossible to please.

I guess you have qualified yourself in that category and you can find a better school for your ED visa needs than us.

Good luck

I think surely, now, the most appropriate thing would be to disappear from the public eye and save his employers any further revenue loss ?

And I am taking it upon myself to inform everyone that an institution who would allow someone with your lack of basic English skills to represent them cannot possibly be of any merit ! It's not rocket science mate ! You are terrible at your job and that reflects on your employers ! Can you really not see that ?

For starters, The Walen School provides twice as much language tuition as you are offering for the same price - four hours per week, as opposed to your two.

That said, their claims and guarantees are very similar identical to your own ...

Yes you can study up to four hours a week with us also. I said there is required minimum of 2.

Honey pot I can speak English just fine thank you and do not care for your opinion.

Lol ! Well spotted ! I spoke to the guy who owns Walen a few years ago when he was solely based in Bangkok. Nice enough guy as I remember to be fair.

No, you didn't. You said, "You get 2 one hour lessons per week via skype or in our office for this price". Walen's website indicates that the minimum requirement for an ED Visa is 2 x 2 hour lessons per week (180 hours per year).
