Koh Samet

Hello.

Can anyone tell me about Koh Samet?

Is it worth going or should I stick to going to Koh Lan Island? Are there beer bars on the Island? How far from Pattaya and how much to get there? I

Went to the back side on Koh Lan last year and had a good relaxing time.

8) Koh Samet is great if u want a relaxed time. No Beer  Bars in the area I was in, but great restaurents and plenty beer. I stayed in Ao Wang Duan.

They are 23 resorts in the Island, varying from only a few huts to many, they are no hotels as such, simple huts with fan (sometimes), with aircon expensive (2000 b/day). One of the most relaxing places I have ever been.

its a nice diversion from pattaya.a lot more expensive though.

I think I will make a day trip just to check it out and keep me from prowling the beer bars for one day.

Great place for a couple of days relaxing. Would not book through a travel agent as very expensive. A air. con. room with fan and T.V. cost me 400B last July.

I was on Ko Samet for a couple of days at Sai Kaew Beach Resort in October this year. The resort has a sales & reservation office in Bangkok: phone 02 438-9771-2 and fax 02 861-1017. I can highly recommend this island for a couple of relaxing days, but bring your own girl along...  8)
