My mate a newbie first time in Pattaya

Recommended Posts

Whoa in town at the end of Sept/oct

There a mate of mine from Tamworth boxing club, he had a hard time with his wife, so much so that he was banished to sleep in the conservatory,

He told me today he booked and paid for his first trip to Pattaya, he doesn't have a computer to read this forum and did the cardinal sin of going to travel agent and paying £1400 for a package holiday in one of the 5 star family hotels.

hes only budgeting on £1000 for two weeks spending which i feel is a low amount.

i explained about the bar fine system and the girls money.

i suggested he tries the guest houses next time such as Drunken Duck as less on accommodation more on hookers.

whos in town around this time ?

He would be better off canceling the package even if it costs him £100 to £150 and booking a flight and accom, would probably end up with at least an extra £400 to spend, maybe a bit more. Plus i bet the family hotel won't be too guest friendly.

I got through £1000 a week on my first visit last year, the girls was much better at getting me to part with money than i thought they would be.

Hopefully i will do better this year.

As a newbie he will need at least £100 a day (especially with the state of the £) also staying in guest unfriendly accommodation will not do him any favours. Get him to cancel his trip (if possible) and rebook using the internet and via this or other forums and if that proves unacceptable point him in the direction of a few friendly places FLB,DD Cherry Bar etc so he is not totally ripped off

Also just off the back of a bad divorce :hairout warn him about falling for a Thai Bargirl as he sounds a prime candidate for a sucker sorry sponsor :whistling:

I said next time let me know and do the Emirates deal with the guest house, hes just excited about his first trip to Patts, once once been to Pattaya then the world is never the same, every other holiday place is an anti-climax :chogdee

Yea see if he can get a refund on the package holiday and rebook a flight only. There's no need to stay in a 5 star hotel in Pattaya, especially if his spending budget is so low. The money he saves should allow for a much more enjoyable time.
