The conventions is 6/13 - 6/20 at the Royal Twin.  I won't be staying there, so if you have any suggestions for cheaper accomodations nearby, let me know.

Well that depends on how much you want to spend and where in town ie: North near big c mall/soi 2  or central near soi 7/8 beer bars.  I like to stay at the Pattaya Centre hotel as the rooms are amazingly nice for about 35-40 US dollars per night.

Stray dogs can be a big problem, especially the two legged kind. I'll be sure to pack by tranquilizer darts!  By the way, how many does it take to bring down a great ape?

Thanks for the info on the Apex Hotel.  It looks like what I want.  I made a reservation at the Rooftop Garden Hotel for the first night.  They have a 1200 Baht car service from the airport.

I arrive in BKK at around 23:30.  estimate that i'll be in Pattaya around 1:30 a.m.  any suggestions on where i should go to find someone to bring to the room for massage.  i'll have been in transit about 24 hours by then.

Bwahahahahahaha! Don't you worry, they'll find you.  ;D

Of course you are not speaking of anything untoward? We don't do that here.

Is it the http://www.roofgardeninn.com/ that you're staying at?

Looks like a nice place. It's a little west of centre. For the closest sanuk area, head back, east along Thappraya Rd. Jump off at the VC Hotel. In that vicinity, there will be two or three 'discos'.

If that's not your scene, carry on until Soi 8. There you will find at least one hundred beer bars in the immediate vicinity, where you can relax with a quiet drink.

You will be able to make friends in both those areas well into the night.

Vets if you are reitired military and a member of the VFW ,  you can write your trip off as a business expense.

I am not sure if this applies to all vets.  But I am sure it applies to retires.

Some of the things you can write off include:

1.  All Transportation cost (Airfare, car mileage, taxi) from your front door to your hotel and  back again.

2.  Lodging.

3.  Laundry

4.  Other Direct Convention Expenses

??? VFW Banquet

Enjoy guys
