Horse Racing

Hi all,

 

I wanted to take my TG to see horse racing in Thailand, I found a site that says there are 2 tracks in Bangkok which each run every other Sunday. Are these the only tracks in Thailand and I tried to look-up a website or information for these tracks (Royal Turf Club of Thailand & Royal Bangkok Sports Club) but I have not been able to find a schedule to see which one is running on which Sunday.

Hi,

 

Which track is racing any particular weekend isn't important as they are both fairly central. All you really need to do is decide to go and pick up a Sunday paper which will carry the runners and thus the track they are racing at that weekend. Grab a taxi and u r off !

Note, however, that unless you can blag your way into the members area the facilities leave a LOT to be desired. Having said that I had fun the one time I went.

Would be interested to hear of your experiences if you make it there.
