Displayed prices are for multiple nights. Check the site for price per night. I see hostels starting at 200b/day and hotels from 500b/day on agoda.

Two friends of mine are coming over to Pattaya at Songkran and staying at the Weekender Hotel which,I think,is located somewhere near Sabailand. (I'm sure this is just an innocent co-incidence ! ).

I dont know this hotel....have any of you guys stayed there ? Good/bad experiences of this place ?

I believe room rate is 800 baht per night.

Thanks.

I did look but theres only one recent review....the rest are all a year or two old from when people stayed.

It looks as though its improved from 2002 but I just wondered if anyone else had stayed there in the last six months ?

This is second hand information but FWIW I've read a couple of very bad reviews about the place in recent months, with the reviewers saying it should be avoided like the plague as the rooms are becoming increasingly grotty and the long heralded refurbishment has still not happened.

As there are numerous places in that location (or others) for similar prices that are frequently recommended then I would advise your friends to look elsewhere.

I re-iterate it is only what I have read and I have no personal experience of the place.

Yes, Pie's info is correct here. I had a look in there a fortnight back and absolutely nothing has been done to the bungalow style rooms. I really like that concept, and quite like the location, and design of the hotel, hence constant checking on it's status. However I think it has now gone beyond feasible rennovation IMHO.

There is much, much better on offer for the same or less baht in the area.

Don't know anything about the rooms but the pool looks nice. They also have a good gym right in the complex that is very reasonable. Location is good but from what i hear Sabaii Lodge is has much nicer rooms. Cheers, B-Man!

Yeah, the pool is great, as is the layout, concept and location. Trouble is the state of repair, and I fear that renovation will eventually consist of razing it all to the ground and putting up one of the multi-story types, that are going up all over the place at the moment.
