Hi  :)

I have been staying at Recidence Garden and Sabai Lodge some times...

Perhaps its time to try some other place ?

I like the location soi 2/3/4 so perhaps Sunshine ?

Those of you that has stayed at Sunshine Vista ;

what kind of room did you stay in ?

When you booked did you book a double or singel ?

Is it worth the extra money to have a better/bigger room ?

Wich floor (high/low) did you stay at ?

Did you have a seawiew ? or is that the noisy side ?

Other things to ask for when booking ?

I hope someone can help me....

Just one thing with this place. I didn't go with them on this basis. They were insisting on half of the total paid upfront before arrival, ie 16,000 Baht, and no credit card payment, so it would have to be either by bank transfer (expensive) or paid by someone you know in Pattaya.

Studio's are definately the thing to go for there.

Hey OJ,

I stayed at SVA last summer.  I moved there after the Markland.  Great views at the Markland: from the room, from the glass elevator and from the circular resturant on the top floor.  HOWEVER, the place is dumpy, the room smelled bad and there were little ants everywhere (especially the bathroom).  I could not get out of there fast enough!!!

I was on the 5th floor at SVA, no real view except construction between SVA and the beach.  You could see the water from the rooftop pool so maybe the 7th (top) floor would offer a view but the beach is pretty far (about 3/4 of a block).  Despite the construction, I had no problem with noise.

On the good side, the room was great! the bed was great! and the bathroom was great!  Everything clean, new and well designed.  I had the small room which was plenty big enough.  No need to upgrade unless you want a kitchen.  The breakfast was not much at all but the location is very good.  Near Big C.  Great TTM place just a 1/4 block up and I thought Atlantic Bar was best in Pattaya (sorry FLB).  In all, I would highly recommend since the clean room, comfy bed and nice pool are priorities for me (I did want a view which is why I tried the Markland).

Hi oj

I stayed at sunshine vista last october for a week  and was really impressed the room was very new and clean with a massive bed,the seprate shower was big enough for me and 2 tg`s it also had a seprate bath (which i never used )never used the resturant as i never surfaced before 1 o`clock ;).

The rooftop pool was real nice with a swim up bar on my stay there was never more then 4 people by the pool.

Hi oJ

Never got round to checkin if you could use the pool at nite  for some "fun " but i think it would be unlikely.

You visting at easter 1000 baht is quite reasonable.

Personally i would not hestiate in booking again-acutally i have 23 of april [smiley=thumbup.gif].

Cant wait Matty

For you guys booking the Sunshine Vista, what medium (website or other) did you use and what rates did you get the rooms for ?

From the hotel directly I was given a price 1280 for Superior room, I asked for "big big discount" but didn't get anything.

I booked it through FLB and got 1100.

Shilo: You must book leo leo...
