Getting mail in Thailand

Recommended Posts

I was wondering about sending mail to Thailand. I cannot ever recall seeing a mail man or indeed a mailbox. With so many people in Pattaya living away from home I assume that perhaps they use phone and possibly rent a PO box somewhere. Is there a delivery service? Are my assumptions correct? Just interested.

No, there is a mail service and places do have addresses.

If you have never seen a mailbox in Pattaya I am thinking you need to look around a bit more, and as to mailmen... well they are out and about before you perhaps. :D

I have been getting mail for nearly 10 years, the best advice i can suggest is you make sure its sent registerd so some one has to sign for it. Letters do go missing if thy are not registered. And that goes for send mail from Thailand also. It dont cost much more to have it registered
