I stayed there a few times years ago. At the time good value for the money. Well worth checking out.

I looked at some apartments in Yensabai in February. Very shabby and didn't seem to have many farang guests, but it's a convenient location for Walking Street.

If not farandgs, what were they?

Are saying rooms are shabby?

Shabbiness, like beauty, is always in the eye of the beholder. I didn't see the rooms, but the apartments I saw were in my opinion very shabby. The guests seemed mostly to be Indians and Arabs, with a sprinkling of Russians.

I presume this is the same?

I've never seen the rooms at Sanya Nightstar, but a friend who stayed there said he liked it. Only thing he complained about was the lack of an elevator. It's definitely farang-oriented and you can't get much closer to WS.

One place I can recommend from personal experience (stayed there many times, once for three months in a 75 sq m apartment) is the Mosaik Apartments near Tukcom. Very clean and comparable rates to Nightstar for the least expensive (32 sq m studio) rooms, but a week's stay is the minimum.

Sounds good to me.

They don't show a map, near Tukcom is good.

I tend to hang around Soi Buakau.

Not as good as this Maxx Condo on third rd.

The downside is they will not reply to my email and they are doing a thai, they must be full and can't be arsed replying.

Ah, not good, not my cup of tea those damn foreigners.

So I take it you are Thai?

As to the rooms, I was shown two by this company recently, and both were perfectly fine. Clean, and the furniture was good. Though I did not lie on the mattress to test it.

Depending on the kind of rental arrangement you make, you may need to get your own internet and cable service.
