I'm arriving in Pattaya on January 14th.

I'm trying to get a room between 400-600bt/day if possible but will go upto 800 if I can get a nicer location/deal.

I tried eMailing a few of the hotels (Apex/Flipper/Sawadee), apex and flipper mailed me back they're full, didn't get a reply from sawadee.

I've seen some of the generic online booking sites, but I'm somewhat reluctant to use them as I don't really like giving my CC out online.

Any ideas?  Or should I just do the walk-in live and in person and hope for the best?

Hello,

I'm a newbie making my first trip to Pattaya and will arrive January 18th. I asked almost the same question you did when I was shopping for hotels.

It is peak season in Pattaya in January and I was told the reservation is a must. Hotels are booking up quick and the town will be busier than a one-armed wallpaper hanger!  ;D

I paid 900 baht/night for Flipper Lodge. So, take it for what it's worth but I hope that helps. If you want to meet up for a beer, let me know.

Fader..

I am also booked into The Koenig Hotel from january 18th to Feb 7th. Good price, and the hotel is only a few months old. Looks like we might be able to hook up for a few drinks before heading over to the FLB.

Markus said that they where having real problems with the phones, most likely why ya cant get ahold of them. It seem to be an on and off thing.
