Smell in Bathrooms of Sunshine Hotel New Wing?

I am presently thinking of booking a room in the Sunshine Hotel Soi 8.  However, I received word from someone that stayed there before, there was a problem with a smell in the bathrooms.  Has anyone else experienced this?  Would also like to hear of any pros or cons that are not already listed in the hotel reviews.  Thanx

Hey Flrogue,

I have stayed at the Sunshine (new wing) many times, the last being in August and have never experienced a smell in the Bathroom (except maybe after a TG has taken a dump) ;D. This hotel would have the best water pressure of any hotel if stayed at.  Has western style toilets (that don't take 10 minutes to flush).  

The pros and cons; Pros: Well the new wing is only about 12 months old so the rooms are still fresh, clean and undamaged.  Big beds, close to the action, never had a problen with street noise, neighbours. Has tilrd floor, multi-channel TV with good reception, 2 swimming pools, a 24 hour restaurant/coffee shop/room service, internet cafe, travel agent at the front door, secure undergound parking, fast lift.  The hotel is very guest friendly. There is a separate entrance to the new wing so you don't have to go through reception. Alternatively, you can have your TG's ID checked at reception, its up to you! :).  Cons: Well being on Soi 8 every time you leave the hotel there are so many girls it is sometimes difficult to get very far!!!
