Eastiny Place Review, Soi 8

Recommended Posts

First 2 trips to Pattaya I stayed at the Pattaya Centre hotel, but when they raised their internet rate from 800 to 1250 I decided to try a new hotel.  Now I wouldn't go back to the Pattaya Centre if they went back to the old price.  When I arrived on the 27th of Feb I didn't realize there were 2 Eastiny hotels on Soi 8, so I told the driver Eastiny Place and fortunately I was right.  I paid 750 a night, but if you pay by credit card their is an additional charge of 3% for your bill.  Rooms are nice with a large bed and an A/C with thermostat, cable TV with many channels in many languages (approx 15 English, but no ESPN), and balconies of which half face the pool and the other half face the Sunshine hotel or 2nd road.  This hotel is extremely guest friendly, and the taking of ID cards is up to you.  Their were TG's using the pool every day although my guests didn't want to use the pool because they either didn't have a suit or didn't want to get chocolate (I found out this meant get a tan).  I don't know if they charge for a 2nd girl as one is all I can handle.  Restaurant is decent and their is a mini mart right next to the hotel.  This was my first time in the Soi 7 & 8 area and going to the small open air bars.  When I walked down Soi 8 around noon to go to the beach  only a few of the bars were open with just a handful of TGs at work.  When I returned around 5:30 all of the bars were open with the TGs sitting aroud chit chatting with each other and putting on their makeup and fixing up their hair.  After I showered and and hit the street around 7pm the place was alive with music and TGs everywhere.  As I walked down the narrow soi to recon the area it reminded me of Tennyson's poem The Charge of The Light Brigade, except it was Hello Welcome to the left and Hello Welcome to the right every few paces with a few handsome man and sexy man thrown in.  My strategy was to walk down Soi 8 and then down Soi 7 to decide where to make my first stop, but by the 3rd time that I was mugged by a group of girls next to the soi my resistance was low when this cute one grabbed me.  A few drinks and connect four games later it was back to my room for 4 days with her.  If you like low maintenance girls this is a great area.   If you are a smoker you may not like this hotel as their is no smoking except in designated areas.

Dave,

When I sent a request for my reservations I used these 3 different addresses:

eastiny2@loxinfo.co.th

eastiny@ptty.loxinfo.co.th

eastinyinn@hotmail.com

Attn: Mr Mark

When I received a reply, it was from Ayudh Nacaprasit and his address is eastiny@loxinfo.co.th

So I'm not exactly sure which of the 4 is good, but I would probably start with the last one.

Hope this works and enjoy your trip.  One other thing, I sent an email to them the day of my departure from home to remind them of my arrival because I had heard rumors that they sometimes missplace your reservation.
