Korean Air SFO BKK

Recommended Posts

You can't beat that with a fucking stick I use Korean most of the time same Route SFO/BKK/SFO and I have no problems with there Cheap seats or Service But they get bashed a bit.

And they are giving you Miles also which is not common on a flight discounted that much but they only give you 70% of miles flown if you fly the cheap seats.

Give um hell

Those are good prices.  I think KE's business class is underrated.  It's not in the class of Asian powerhouses like CX, SI, and JL, but it's not too far behind.  And their prices are almost always lower, as well.

I have used Korean Air and Asiana Air each once from the U.S. to Bangkok.  Going to Seoul instead of Taipei, Tokyo, or Hong Kong ADDS hours to the total trip time which I am not willing to do.

I usually always take EVA Deluxe Class these days because it gives you a wider seat at only about $180-$200 more than their economy class AND you get to Bangkok in midday, not around midnite or later.  For me that alone is a requirement.

Cathay Pacific, transiting Hong Kong will get you to Bangkok in midday as well.  If you are planning on completing your next trip prior to May 31, have a look at this special out of LAX and SFO for $599.

Ken,

I agree!  I didn't mean I fly KE or OZ to/from BKK.  Their departure times are absolutely dreadful - not to mention the 12-hour layovers for connections back to the States.

I like EVA but will have to give TG a try when they get their new Airbus' in 2005.  They also plan to fly non-stop:

BKK-LAX-BKK

BKK-ORD-BKK

BKK-NYC-BKK

Won't it be great when Thai and other carriers get the new aircraft and can fly non-stop from LAX or SFO to BKK.  It will be even nicer when they get the new airport completed, up and running.

Where did you get the info on Thai starting the non stop flights to Thailand?  We plan to do our next trip in Jan 2005.

I read about the TG nonstops to/from the States, but can't remember where!  It's not gonna help you in January 2005 as they won't be getting those planes until the summer.  I'm sure it'll be in conjunction with the opening of the new airport (summer 2005).

Just because they'll have the capability to fly non stop with the new planes, unless they can fill them up with paxs to fly to LOS on a regular basis, they will continue to fly into the current hubs.
