New airline from Phuket to Cambodia?

Hey everybody ,

I just heard that there is a new charter company flying from Phuket staight to Cambodia (Pnom Penh) at a low price. Is it so? Has anybody heard of it or know the name of that company?   8)

I don't know of any company that goes direct, however, Bangkok Airways does go via Bangkok.

There is a multitude of new low-cost airlines recently started up in the region (or about to).  These include Thai Orient (dodgy and not connected to Thai International), Tiger Air (Singapore/Ryan) and Air Asia (Malaysian/Shin Corp.)

Thai is due to announce its low-cost partner in the next few weeks and has been in talks with, among others, Branson's Virgin Group.  What is sure is that regional fares are tumbling down (Thai currently has a promotion until the end of March on its domestic routes) and will continue to do so.  For example, Air Asia is currently offering both Phuket-KL and Bangkok-Johor Baru (Singapore) for approx 1000 THB one-way.
