Hi looking for a good price on a ticket from PHX (or LAX)

to BKK.  Anyone know where to look?  Leaving

Dec 10 and returning Jan 5th.

When doing a general search using the websites below, the best price is not always given.  Resubmit  the search looking for airlines by name and a better price may result.  Also, check with the airline’s own website as you may find that a special price is being offered.

http://www.priceline.com - This is best if you have more time than money.  The way to pay the least amount is to bid ludicrously low for an itinerary.  A counter-offer “good only for the next hour” will be emailed back.  Compare this offer to those at the other sites and expect to see about a 20% discount.  Be aware though:  layovers (Taipei or Narita if you're coming in from the US) may be long (i.e., 10 hours).  Flight details won't be disclosed until after payment has been made.  It's not always as bad as this example but there is a trade-off like most things in life.

Its also worth pointing out that many if not all companies websites do not show last minute offers or deals, and its always worth the time making a few calls and asking if there are any special or last minute offers.

All those sites are good, am familiar with all of them. Here's another one...www.sidestep.com.....let it load, it takes a few seconds, then type in the nec. info and click search. It will give you a pretty good list, starting with the cheapest. If nothing fits, try another date, and try both  PHX  &  LAX.

Also, try this:   go to   www.evaair.com  When the home page is loaded it will show somewhere in the middle an icon that reads "special deals". Just to the right of that is a hot spot that reads "hot fares". Click on that for whatever promotions they have at the moment. I have noticed they don't list PHX but LAX is O.K..as well as SFO and SEA.

You can get almost the same results by going to  www.singaporeair.com and  www.chinaair.com. good luck whatever you decide.....I've not flown Eva but I've heard nothing but good about them and they have a class called "Evergreen" which is like business class but only slightly higher than economy. I'm going that way next trip. .....ErnieK

I used a consolidator in Dallas last February.  They mailed my ticket to me here in Phx and their price was very competitive.  Gateway Travel, 1-800-999-8893.

$1100 USD rt.  I had specific dates and it is the

high season, so that's how it is..

 Sometimes I'll book a flight out of LAX and take a Southwest to LAX.  Sometimes it saves me alot of money, the only thing is I have to recheck my baggage.  I booked with Eva last time, I saw it was over $1000.00 on Eva.com, I changed the day from Friday to Thursday and it was $750.00.  I think the day you leave is important.  I called Eva at 1-800-695-1188 to book it, they even gave me Vegas to LAX, I had to mail in the money order and they sent me my tickets certified mail. good luck hope it helps you.
