  1. As much as I like American Football, a Rugby player would win in a fight. Just because the NFL football players are bigger and stronger, doesn't make them better fighters, IMHO. cheers kj
  2. Greg's Kitchen on Second Road has great food. If you walk to the end of Soi 6 and turn right on Second Road, cross the street and it is about a 5 minute walk. It is just past the Bank and on the same side of the street. Delicous food, I highly recommend the place. cheers kj
  3. Awesome Post that was some funny shit. cheers kj
  4. This is a Stupid Post, Who gives a shit what kind of plane it is? As long as the plane doesn't crash on the way to my destination, it is a good plane. cheers kj
  5. I have flown this Airline on a few occasions on my recent 3 month stay in PI. Very good airline and they claim to have the newest fleet in Asia after purchasing some new airbuses. http://www.cebupacificair.com/index.html
  6. Monkeyman, Outstanding report as always, very entertaining and great pics. That is some funny shit. thanks for sharing and looking forward to future TR's. cheers kj
  7. Fuck yes, call the police, these guys can be complete assholes. I had trouble with a Bahtbus driver when i was in Pattaya in late June - early July. I was at Guido's birthday party at Hammer's bar recently and I get talking to a guy who was staying at a condo near ours in Jomtien. We agreed to split the cost of a Bahtbus to Jomtien which was 100 baht. All was Ok, our new friend got off at his Condo, paid the 100 baht and the bahtbus drove us to the condo that i was renting. When the Bahtbus stopped they wanted another 100 baht, I said "i'm not paying that". They try and talk Thai t
  8. I've flown Eva 15 times and never had a problem with extra luggage. I usually fill my Hockey Bag that weighs a shitload and they have never charged me extra. Eva air is the best airline I have ever flown and one of the best companies I have ever done business with, they are very professional and they go out of their way to satisfy the customer. IMHO The airline to be careful with is Philippine Airlines (PAL), I recently flown from Manila to Cagayan and they said my luggage was 65 kilos over, and that was for 2 people. I was moving out of my Manila apartment and going to Cagayan De Oro
  9. I stayed there 9 days in September, it is a very nice place but i will never stay there again. I was originally staying there 11 days but i changed my reservation to 9 days and in their late email they said it was not a problem. When it was time to pay, the woman tried to charge me for 10 days, she was convinced I was there 10 nights, i had to get my passport to show her my arrival date. With an exception of the Boss, some of the staff seemed ok, the rest of them spoke no english. It's a nice place but i won't be staying there again, i don't like paying for bad service.
  10. Vanhalen, Hello and welcome to the board. That sounds like a plan, go for it when you feel ready. I hope to do the same thing in about 6 1/2 years but i'd still want a house in the states, i couldn't live in LOS 365 days a year, i'd go nutts. Chok dee to you. cheers kj
  11. I arrive into BKK on the 6th of Septmber at 1100am, i'll be in BKK 1 night and then i caught the PAL flight to Manila on the 7th. I'll stay in AC 5 nights and then come back to LOS and stay in Pattaya until the 27th (maybe 29th). I might take a side trip to Koh Kong Cambodia but not 100% sure, sounds like alot of fun. See you soon. kj
  12. After reading alot of great posts by "Onmyway" about AC Phillipines, i decided to check PAL's website (phillipine airlines) and found a roundtrip ticket for 10,500 baht including tax ($260 US), not a bad deal so i booked it. PAL is having a special from BKK - Manila - BKK. Ironically Manila-BKK-Manila was about 16000 baht ($400). http://www.philippineairlines.com/ Just click "Fares and promos" and then click "Online sales" and then click "special web fares". The same BKK - Manila - BKK flight is $440 on Expedia. I think normally it is alot cheaper to book the ticket thru a LO
  13. You are correct, it should of been 1pm because we left Joy bar at about 1220 and it took about 30 minutes to get to the Pier. Refer to part 10 of my LOS-TR. I'm a dice dealer, anything over 12 we have trouble with. See what happens when i post sober? Thanks for pointing that out. cheers kj
