UK, Sri Lanka, Bangkok return

Could anyone advise me if it is possible to fly from the UK to Bangkok via Sri Lanka.

 

I'm thinking of spending a few days at a test match on the way home from Thailand.

 

Any advice on Sri Lankan nightlife would also be appreciated too!

Air Lanka used to do it and the fare wasnt bad either but, if I remember correctly there was a hell of a long change of aircraft, which put a lot of people off (9 hours methinks), but if you are stopping over then that wouldnt be that bad, there isnt much in the way of nightlife, well there wasnt last time I was there in 92 though Bellboys at hotels can sort you out a girl or two.
