LOL.... just tried it for my dates for October and still worked out more expensive than what I've paid with Qatar. Their luggage allowance also puts me off. Enjoyed a free upgrade to Biz class on my last trip with them.

I'll stick with Qatar or Emirates, with their higher allowance.

Don't quote me on this but I seem to recall that joining their free membership programme did increase limits a bit. Since I got status at the airline, it hasn't mattered but it once did, from recollection.

Qatar have been running great promotions, often discussed on http://www.headforpoints.com/amongst other places.

Pity Qatar do not offer a limo to the airport for Biz Class. At 70 miles limit (Manchester) would you qualify for that?

Allowance irrelevant to me, normally exit LOS with an empty suitcase. I bet your missus could fill a container. :D

I'm 140 miles north from MAN, so I wouldn't qualify....

And yes she could fill a container every trip..... Her record weight for 1 suitcase was 36KG, before I redistributed some of if prior to checking in. :banghead

Saw that myself. Checked out a load of dates during October and November, didn't find 1 decent price flight at all!!! In fact, thought all flights were more expensive than normal.

I will be searching for one in a few weeks, either round trip ex UK or one way if I can get a sensible price. I generally start here and then try the best-fit's airline sites. No Expedia or similar for me as I didn't get a refund yet from the last flight I was forced to cancel.

Same here !

The outward from BKK is more expensive through this "offer" than the corresponding return leg when looking at a LHR-BKK booking.

Must be good for other dates then ?
