Hi fellow street crawlers,

Any-one had any experience good or bad with Turkish Airlines flying out from Manchester? They have flights for £367 in January, or is it better to ride on a rusty shovel? [smiley=help.gif] [smiley=scared.gif] [smiley=yikes.gif]

not flown with them myself and have only spoken to one person who had. He had a seven hour delay on the change of aircraft in turkey which is supposed to be normal. The prices at the airport are also supposed to be expensive.

I went with Turkish airlines in March, (when i went to pick Joy up) I only had an hour stop-over. All in all the flight was very good; not as good as BA, but you do get more leg room and less people travel with them so you can move around. I found them to be a lot better than China airlines. The food is o.k, as good as BA and better than China airline. Thats a very good price and i would go with them

Hi Paul,

My two mates went out from Man.With Turkish Air mid Jan back end of Feb. price £436. There not pickie eaters but they said the service & food was awful.  [smiley=crying.gif]. On the way back one hour delay in landing, circle the a/port in Turkey because off snow  [smiley=flamethrower.gif]. This could happen to any a/line but trouble came later. There connecting flight was delayed so they went to the bar [smiley=beer.gif] they could only afford one beer with the money they had left from the out leg  [smiley=crying.gif]. After about 1.5Hrs. and the board saying saying there flight was still delayed they went to the desk only to be told there flight had left 15mins ago [smiley=banghead.gif]. On showing the desk the departure board, still saying delayed, it took them about a hour for T/A to get them on the next flight to London non to Man. It then cost £168 each for a ticket to Isle of Man. Not a cheap a fligt to LOS as it appeared. You pays your money and takes you chance.

Cheers Doug.

Ive been with Turkish airlines for my last 4 trips to Los, flying out of Manchester.  Ive never had any problems with them at all, apart from a fairly long stopover in Istanbul on the outbound flight.

The £367 price you were quoted is very good, where did you get that price from.  Im thinking of going in February.
