i just  got  my  xmas flight  details

i  am  changing  flights  at  a place  called

mingaladon

question  is  where  the  hell  is  mingaladon

any  info  would  be  appreciated

Mingaladon airport is in Myanmar, (formerly Burma) and Yangon, (formerly Rangoon) · The country Myanmar came in force internationally in 1989 although the locals always refer to their homeland as Myanmar and not Burma.

Oh here is some more info i managed to dig up for ya mate!

 

Yangon (RGN) Mingaladon Airport

 

12 miles from city.  

 

Airport facilities include restaurant, bar, snack bar, bank, post office, duty-free shop & tourist information.

 

Travel to city by taxi (not always available) or by bus # 9, departing every 15 mins. Ride time  – 30 mins. Bus # returns from Merchant Street.

 

Departure tax: US$6, passengers in direct transit are exempt.

 

Air travel is only reliable means of access into Myanmar.

 

Complete immigration & custom declaration forms during flight & submit on arrival & on departure ( 2 copies ).

 

Declare all foreign currency if over US$ 2.000, travelers checks & all jewellery to avoid confiscation on departure.

 

Export of antiques prohibited. To avoid any confiscation of goods not purchased in Myanmar, be sure they appear on customs declaration forms on arrival.

 

To export loose gemstones, jewellery & silver, obtain certificate from shop. Exercise care when buying jewellery & gems -  no guarantee on quality even when certificate issued from authorized shops.
