I know its probably a bit late as I have already booked , I like the centredness of the place , but can anyone give me a heads up on any pitfalls or anything I should avoid whilst staying there. Thanks.

I believe it is in the heart of the Arab quarter.

Currently, the thing to avoid is young Kuwaitis racing their rented motorbikes!
