There have been a number of times recently when (generally in the open to everyone section of the board) after I press the back button on my browser, I get a message saying that the page has expired. At this point I will only have been in the board for a few minutes at most. I then have to close down the message and log back on to the board.

Has anyone else been having this problem or any suggestions to get round it? I use AOL to access the internet.

Thanks,

Alan

Alan,

It has also been happening to me. I find it happens more when I'm own my wireless internet connection. If I'm using DSL or a T1 line then it seems to work fine.

I've had the same problem for a long time, not sure if it's due to the old software I'm using to access the board.

What I end up doing when the page expired message comes up is click on Refresh and then click on Retry.  To get rid of this from happening for one login session on the board, I have to select the brown colored text 'FLB Bar Pattaya Pages' on the top of the page and everything works fine from that point on (I can use the back function fine after that).  Not sure if I explained it clearly, if not let me know, else try it and see if it works for you.

I'm not sure about this but I would expect it to be a browser problem on the offending computer.  It never happens to me so I doubt it's the board software.

These pages do not exist as real web pages.  They are generated just for the viewer each time a link is clicked on.  When you press the back button you are going back to a page which does not exist except in your own computers cache.  If your cache is not holding the page then it will not be accessible.

If you use the navigation links at the top of the forum it will not happen as a new page is generated when you click a link.

Not very helpful I'm afraid but its all I can think of.

Pete, that helps and kind of explains the situation for me.  Like you said, use the navigation links and it should clear up the problem.  I have seen this problem on other yabb boards, not a big deal.  It's probably due to the fact that I'm running Windows 98, Internet Explorer 5.5 - real old software that I haven't updated.  Are the other members seeing this problem also running older software?

Not bragging, but my 5 year old machine also has a massive amount of RAM - 64 mb - go ahead laugh, all my friends do to.

Hi All,

I also have the sama problem but the way I solve it is by hiting the " HOME " button on the FLB task bar

then useing the 2back button as normal

Be Nice
