Balcony with Views?

Do any of you know if the Flipper on Soi 7 has a balcony with a view of the water? Can you recommend any other hotels with a balcony and a good view of the beach?

I don't know about the Flipper, but Mike's Beach on Soi 4 (upper floors facing Soi 4), Inn House on Soi 13 (upper floors facing west) and Marine Yensabai Mansion on Soi Yensabai (upper floors facing west) have balconies with views of the bay. Cost me between 665 and 600 baht/night.

Yes, flipper on soi 7 does have balconies but they are small.

This is hard to answer without knowing what you think of as 'good'

 

If you want a place right on the beach where you can look down on sunbathers then there are not any really. If you want a place where you can sit on your balcony and look out over the gulf and see the boats (and on a clear day some islands) there are plenty. If you want as just described with absolutley no obstructions, your list will get shorter again.

 

I was pretty happy with a 'sea view' room at Inn House. Back a 1/4 mile from the beach and a building which obscures the view if you look SE but mostly was nice and I loved sitting there with a beer just gazing out.

 

I suppose the standard Pattaya hotel advice is apropos: get a place you think will be fine and once there start looking for better places. In your case you will probably see the better places from where ever you are staying so it should be an easy task.

But remember a lot of the better places has a joiner fee. How bout somebody doing a list of the better places with no joiner fee.

You come to Pattaya for the view of the beach? If so, go to the beach and sit under an umbrella for awhile. Works for me.
