Can anyone recomend a good farang friendly real estate agent in or near Pattaya?

I have very good experience through buying my recent condo with the One Stop agencies. As I bought my condo from Hungary, through the internet and bank transfers I had some anxiety, even that all documents were in thai. But finally they were correct, fast and without dubt a very pleasant experience. Six month later when I arrived, the representative waited me at the gate, gave me the keys and delivered the condo in perfect condition.

Lazyboy, I tried many times to registering, but the answer allways is:

It's good to see that some have had good experiences with real estate agents. But be VERY careful. Many are sharks or barracudas. Be especially careful if buying land, with or without a house on it. You can't own it in your name. The Thai law makes it complicated.....so be damn sure you have someone reliable, and then still double check.

I think the agency Gabor and Lazyboy are talking about is called Northern Thai Realty (correct me if I'm wrong guys). I've heard others speak highly of them before and will be paying them a vist when I make the move myself next year. Their web site has several properties though it is debatable on how up to date this actually is. They also have a large number of properties displayed in the window of their shop - so worth a vist.

Don't mess around go along to East Coast Real Estate opposite Shenanigans Irish Pub and also close to Royal Garden Plaza. Ask for David Gray and tell hime Ray W sent you as I owe him a few drinks for the many favours he has done for me in the past. David is probably one of the most honest falang guys I have met in Thailand and makes his business through good advise and honest trading a very unusual feature for Estate Agents IMHO.

No we are talking about two different agencies, despite the web adress very similar. I wrote about the "One stop" Lazyboy wrote about the " Northern Thai ".

RayW. wrote about " East cost ". They have a very impressive webpage, but don't even answered to my e-mail .

Nidnoyham, Well the guy has never given me any reason not to trust him and I have had quite a bit of contact with him. No dont bother with any syndicate that I am in as I am never lucky, so sorry you wont make a quick buck riding on my glandwagon

Had a dream the other night about the lottery. I was in a pub at home and a guy was selling Thai lottery tickets. One had just number 19 on it and the other ended with 60. It could be a premenition or I was returning to the decade of my youth. I'll give them a go next month.

Well I had a dream the other night too. The dream was that I was in the FLB and Ben was buying me loads of drinks without me having to open my wallet. Well I got as rat arsed as he was and we left the place after 2:00 AM when the traffic had started to flow on Walking Street. We were so pissed that we both walked straight under a Baht bus and died.

 

So there I was at the pearly gates and St. Peter (or is it Michael .. I never was religious) said to me " Hey stop you cannot just come in here after the way you led your life, you will have to pay penance first" So I asked what sort of penance and he said " Well you see that very ugly warty old lady over there? Well you have to boom boom her 3 times a day for a whole year and then you can come in"

 

Well I then asked him what other penance could I serve instead and he opens this trap door and there is fire and brimstone and people screaming in agony down there and he says "You can instead go down there for a year and then we let you out and you can come in"

 

Oh well I chose the warty old lady and was walking off arm in arm with her when I see Ben with Claudia Schiffer on his arm. So I said to St. Peter or Michael (whatever his name was) "Hey look over there. That is just not fair" and he says to me. "Claudia Schiffer's penance has got nothing to do with you!!!"
