As the airtrafficers have hard time they installed some new form of taxes here in Hungary as: airport TAX ( 60 USD ), cerosine TAX (40-50 USD ), ticket opening TAX ( 20-60 USD) over the airfare.

I wondered how about this in other countries.

How about it in your country? What taxes and how huch you must pay?

Taxes depends on which airline you`re flying, which airports you have a stopover in etc.

 

To Bangkok with SAS I pay about 350 NOK in taxes, to Santo Domingo with KLM I pay about 1200 NOK in taxes...

 

Here is an example on the taxes from Oslo to Miami with Continental, all prices in NOK :

 

ZN: 112.00, Security Service Fee: 51.00, U.S. International Transportation Tax: 184.00, U.S. APHIS User Fee: 21.00, U.S. Immigration User Fee: 47.00, U.S. Customs User Fee: 34.00, Passenger Facility Charge: 20.00

What is "Passenger Facility Charge"

Passenger Facility Charge is a fee that each individual airport determines and collects for themselves. It covers the cost of runway/facility improvements, etc. etc. etc. The US prob leads the way in all of the fees we have to pay on our tickets (though at least we don't have a $12.50 USD departure tax) We still have the Sept. 11th Security Fee along with may other various taxes.

My return ticket from Edinburgh to Bangkok (via Heathrow) shows taxes totalling £84.80. Part of this will be the UK's tax for 2 internal flights. On top of this there is the 500 baht departure tax payable on departure from Bangkok. (I assume that this hasn't increased since I was there last November).

I recently paid just short of € 40 for a return Vienna Bangkok on Eva Air (plus the 500 BT in Bangkok)
