Repeated Attempts to Log In

Just sent Pete an e-mail saying I could not get logged in even after the message showed me as Logged in and as a member being on board.

 

Have had this problem for about a week now but always managed to Log IN after a few attempts. Today, it took about 10-attempts.

 

How to fix/correct?

I'm not sure what is causing you this problem. As far as I know everything is working correctly and others, including me are logging in OK all the time.

 

Can you be more precise about what happens when you try. Error messages etc.

 

Have you clicked on the remember me button. if you are logging in from the same computer click remember me and log ins will then be automatic.

 

One thing you could try is clicking on "Delete cookies set by this board" at the bottom of the main page. Then log out and log in again. It may be that you have a corrupt cookie on your machine.

I did the delete cookies and the last two attempts to log on worked.

 

However, I did the auto remember me but still have to log on each time. No big deal as long as I continue to be able to get on board.

 

Hopefully, no more problem!

Jerry,

the fact that you are not being remembered could have something to do with your internet-browser's settings in the 'cookies-handling-department'.

Try checking these.

PETE I HAVEING THE SAME THING THIS WEEK ITS TAKEING ME ABOUT 10 TRYING TO GET ON!! ALL ITS DOES IS TAKE YOU BACK TO THE FIRST PAGE AND YOU HAVE TO START YOU PASS WORD ALL OVER AGEAN!!LOL RIGHT NOW DONT HAVE TIME TO TYPE IN 15 TIMES WILL TRY BACK LATER.LOL GOT TO 8 AND GAVE UP!!

also problems here, says logged in but cannot reply to Open Forum posts or see Members Forum.

 

Will try and send this and see what happens. I was logged in and when I hit "quote" it took me to another login procedure. So here I am now.

 

Still no joy on members board.

These problems are nearly always caused by your cookie settings or a firewall. You need to make sure that your browser will accept cookies from this site and you firewall will allow them to pass too.

Same deal Slim. You have a cookie or firewall problem. Make sure your browser will accept cookies from the site and that you firewall will allow the site to write them on your computer.
