LAX to Vietnam starts in December. IMHO the MOST BEAUTIFUL WOMEN on this planet live in Nam. I may split my trips to Asia and go to Nam every other trip. I love Saigon!!

Actually it is San Francisco to Saigon, and it is via Hong Kong. It begins on 9th December 2004, daily service. They also have traffic rights from Hong Kong, so you can buy a ticket from Hong Kong to Saigon also. United will be the 1st U.S. airline flying to Vietnam.

I visited Saigon in 99 and if you think crossing 2nd Rd by the Big C is an adventure wait till you try crossing the main road in downtown Saigon. I've never seen so many motorbikes on a road at one time. Unlike LOS where the hawkers will leave after a polite no thanks or shake your head, they do not take no as easily, especially in Hanoi.

Doubt seriously if there are any barfines in Saigon but, that Saigon Tea will sure kill your budget. SB

I was in Na Trang October 2001 and I paid $5USD for a massage and b++j. Flash back to Na Trang 1967, Sgt BigDUSA catches the lap and I think I paid $2.50 for the honor.

Even back then you were getting more bang for the buck than me. Sgt Emil, tank commander, was stationed in Germany at that time facing off against the Warsaw Pact along the Iron Curtain and paying the frauliens 40 marks for a S/T (4 marks to a $1).

Ahh, the little honeys hanging out by the Main Gate at the 1st MarDiv compound in DaNang, trying to entice young Sgt. Hoss to run one into his bunker for a quickie. One in particular was a little stunner, we called her 10 P Annie 'cause she'd come by about noon along the china beach side and fondle our Ma Deuce (.50 Cal) like it was some big iron dick !! Then one of us would give her 10 Piasters to flash her tits for us....all of about 10 cents worth of money LOL.

 

Since marines were only allowed a few hours into downtown DaNang, short time was all we could negotiate...about 3 bucks for a real stunner, mabey 5 bucks if you were new in country. Oh yeah, no dollars allowed, just nice pink mae west money (script). Damn, 1965 wuz a long long long long time ago.....

 

I understand they had it all the way up to 10.00 script for short time by 1970!!

 

But for sure, there were some really fine looking girls there if they wern't chewing betel nut and grinning....
