  1. And they have free internet acces. I am taking advantage of it right now.
  2. I am thinking of redeming 12000 Thai miles for a night at the Marriott Bangkok. I’ve never done this before and I was wondering if I will get charged any cash, or will the points be all I need. Reading through the booklet there is mention of taxes, service charges and expenses. Will I get hit with some of these even if I resist the temptation to use the mini bar and loom service?
  3. Thanks for the tip. I am booked up, and owe you a drink.
  4. I like the rooms at the front facing the street; in the early evening, I open the curtains and get a blaze of colour from all the neon on the bars. It sets the mood for the night ahead. This has got to be one of the best places to stay for Sanuk in Pattaya, its location is great. The rooms are decorated in Thai style and are really comfortable with a nice high bed, loads of cushions, pillows and mirrors everywhere. There are CD and VCD players in the rooms. I should think that you can get cockroaches anyplace in Asia.
  5. Do you think that there would be a big variation between what the different insurance companies would or could do for you in case of a medical emergency in LOS?
  6. I think that I will give Eva a go. It’s got to be better than the Biman Bangladesh tip I made a couple of yeas ago.
  7. The last few trips I’ve made have used Thai economy; I like the 9.30 night flight from LHR. I see that EVA is about £100 cheaper and the same departure time. It’s still a direct flight 11.25 hours. I never watch movies, just listen to music drink a few beers and sleep. I’ve read quite a bit about EVA deluxe but not economy, what do you think?
  8. [shadow=red,left,300]lasingmao. Yes you can rooms for 990 bhat with a big balcony and sea views at The Sandyspring. Bigmike. [/shadow] Cheers BigMike, I like the sound of a balconey with a sea view. I might even get to see some daylight in Pattaya. What time is sunset? I could set my alarm.
  9. Do you know if a 990b room has a balcony with a sea view?
  10. Private Dancer by Stephen leather, a fantastic novel set in bar scene in LOS available free at http://www.stephenleather.com/unpub.html
  11. There are couple of articles on fishing in LOS here. http://www.harrisangling.co.uk/harr/articl...1UPN9VB1&type=4=4
