  1. Thanks darkmancomes and LTGTR I went to this site http://www.asiatravel.com/. And found Kuwait Air Direct BKK - MNL for 8515 thb incls all surcharges, taxes ad VAT. BKK departure is fine at 12:00 but return doesn't work for me at 23:15 arrive BKK 01:30. Instead I opted for PAL which had was a little more 10150 THB but flight times were better Depart BKK 14:00 then depart MNL 15:00. It was worth the extra Baht as I'm on vacation and my time is more precious . A note about that site the prices are consistently changing so if you like the price click and buy I waited and it went up 500 THB. Thanks again guys.
  2. Yeah the the cebupacific air site was the one that showed 10,184 THB Is that a good price? I've never purchased BKK-MNL-BKK before. I've always did multi city trips.
  3. Hi Guys, Good news is my friend just surprised me with a ticket to Thailand so i'm packing as i type this. Bad news is for the free ticket I'm the tour guide it's his 1st trip Well that's not bad actually here's what I need any recommendations on travel agents in Pattaya or websites I should go to to find a good price from Bangkok to Manila or (Clark) Round trip. dates of travel are anytime between Feb 21-march5. So far I've only found Cebu Air and the RT ticket is 10,000 baht I'm sure there has to be some cheaper deals out there. I would research it myself by I'm on a flight to Patts in 8 hours I Know we can't talk about bargirls on here but i don't want to take and not give back so I'll just say , exclusive pictures, Kremlin massage in Manila , 19 year old , 5'1", 1800 pesos all inclusive. Thanks a bunch guys.
  4. After doing some research and umm only selling 1 comp. the price hs dropped to 9000 baht each for the 3 ramaining computers and 9500 baht if you want them with desk and chair. The next closest comp that was seen to this was new at 18000 baht without desk and chair..... thanks for your time
  5. forest51, I sent you a PM. Cennn3, Thanks for your opinion. I will definitely share that with my friend as it would not make too much since to have such a small delta in prices between new and used computers. However I can say that after selling computers for a short time and going through 10 in the past 15 years. That not all computers are alike. I would think the buyer would have to take in to consideration the specs ( Ram and type, HD and TYPE, Sound card, Processor type and speed, Motherboard, licensed software on unit, etc….). Also another point that he made was that the LCD monitors are still expensive in Thailand and these units come with one.

  8. actually the yahoo sms works on AIS(12 call) sytem to http://messenger.yahoo.com/messenger/wireless/ i've been using it for a while . It's free and easy
  9. great report! if they ever knock 50% off the price i might just have a go at it. :)
  10. to be continued come on Floyd . this is one of the best hotel reports i've read yet. I just love pictures 8)
  11. I was under the impression that most major carriers had only 1 flight out a day.
  12. I've stayed at the hard rock twice and there are NO guest fees also with the marriot it depends on when your staying there . I've had friends staying there during Cobra Gold and they paid ZERO baht in guest fees(don't know if Uncle Sam had something to do with that) . Iain, As stated email or call the hotel and ask if not sure. Also some have no guest gee but charge you if you bring in more than 1 girl at a time.
  13. I agree with winner I've been to the site b4 nothing but a personal home page of useful links. No banners no links to pay sites. By looking at his site i would hope most would be able to tell it is not set up to make money but as a resource site. Not an advertisment but I sent a pm to ken and he sent me back a page full of useful information. chrisgng22, 2 serperate posts whithin 7 mins did you not feel your orginal post was a smart ass enough reply? Honestly what was the purpose of blasting this guy? he did everything right. Posted question on Accomodation board not only that it was a question about booking a hotel that has a relationship with FLB.
  14. I've stayed there twice and had no joiner fee.. Now if you're booking through a website they're already getting less money from you . And if you called and asked them already about it I would say it's pretty much a no brainer that they would charge you. what price did you get for it ? they're a lot better options for the money oout there unless you booked at 500 baht a night.
  15. So far so good thanks for the info Emil. A couple other questions. Is there room service? What about phone lines in for? And is there cable tv in each room?
  16. OK when in Pattaya I like to stay in a different hotel every time. from reading the accommodation section for the past couple of months I've narrowed my selection down to 2 hotels The Sandy Spring and Marine Yensabi Mansion. I've had both a BG and friend look at each place and both seem to agree that for the money (700 baht marine vs. 850 Sandy Spring) that the marine has bigger and nicer rooms for the price. Although the location of Sandy seems to be a little better. OK the question does anyone have any first hand knowledge and /or pictures of Marine yensabi rooms? yes I've read the 1 review. Also the main thing I'm concerned with is the "multiple joiner charge" 1 girl is free but i have to pay if i bring up more. I have yet to encounter that at a Pattaya hotel and want to keep it that way. Thank you all in advance.
  17. kjvegas, well you know what that's the price we pay for wanting to have that paper ticket in our hand that says LAS-LAX-BKK :) I'm actually still flying on NWA i got may tickets for $707 from LAS with tax through a consolidator. So i won't be doing the south west thing . Although if i had waited i wold of saved $115 and had better flight times (i like evea departure times from both BKK and LAX) shoot my buddies will get to stay 9 extra hours in LOS. Re: bonus miles I'll have to see. Put on the site it didn't say anything about promo fare .
  18. Fishingtime, good points i've learned something.
  19. El tib, Thanks for the heads up i just booked a flight for my friend. Aug 24- Aug 31st through the EVA website it was $449 came to $517 with tax that's from LAX to BKK 1 hour lay over in Tapei, China
  20. ??? are you sure about that ? Whre are you getting your facts from? I've always thought that at any given time Bangkok or Phuket would have more americans, brits, etc. than Pattaya.
  21. OOPs just was told you need to be a member(it's free) in order to view this article. So for those that don't want to go thought all that here's the article without the pictures of the girls. June 20, 2003 A Famed Resort Where Tourists Fear to Tread By SETH MYDANS ATTAYA, Thailand, June 14 — It is as if the terrorist attack had already occurred. Beaches and bars are nearly empty. Tour ferries float at anchor in the distance. Even the elephants are idle, with few customers to ride them. Thailand's most famous beach resort is a study in suspended animation, devastated by a slowdown in tourism caused by fears of terrorism and SARS infection. This week, things got even worse as Thailand found itself in the bull's-eye of the latest terrorist threats. In the country's Muslim south, the police arrested three men they said were members of a terrorist cell that was planning to attack embassies and entertainment spots. At the same time, on a visit to Washington, Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra declared that Thailand was an ally in the worldwide campaign against terror, something he had strenuously avoided saying in the past. Until now, the national policy has boiled down to the plea voiced today by a restaurant manager here: "Why us? We're friendly." As soon as the arrests were announced, Australia, 88of whose people died in the terrorist bombing in Bali last October, issued a warning to its citizens to stay away from beach resorts in Thailand. Here in Pattaya, speculation has focused on a popular nightclub and a central shopping plaza as potential targets even though, with so few customers, they would seem to be poor targets. "I try to stay away from the plaza," said Munir Hasan, a salesman at one of the dozens of tailor shops that make it seem as though people come to Pattaya to get suits made as much as to go to the beach. "It's on people's minds," he said as he sat on the stoop of his empty shop. One waitress told of the day a man with what seemed Middle Eastern looks had entered her nightclub, used the bathroom, then walked out again. "We didn't know what to do," she said. "We were all afraid to go back there and look." No figures were available to illustrate the slowdown in Pattaya, but these days it looks more like a stage set of a beach resort with a famous red-light district than the real thing. At the empty bars, the lights flash, the music pulses and the pretty women wiggle in the doorways calling out: "Welcome! Welcome!" On the beach, rows of striped canvas lounge chairs stand nearly empty under their forests of parasols. Young men wait by stacks of black inner tubes, ready to rent them out. The surf laps quietly at the sand. Almost no one is out there splashing. It has been like this for months, people here say. "Everybody is scared," said a travel agent here. "The Thais don't visit China and the Chinese don't visit Thailand." Last year 10.8 million tourists came to Thailand and spent $7.7 billion, 6 percent of the country's gross domestic profit, said Somkid Jatusripitak, the deputy prime minister for economic affairs and tourism, in a speech this week. Tourism has permeated almost all walks of life and has become part of Thailand's image of itself. "The land of smiles wears a smile as always," Mr. Somkid said bravely. A receptionist at a nearly empty seaside hotel here said he was sure that everything was safe. "We have video cameras everywhere," he said. "We can check everything. And in the garage we have a video camera. Every car that comes in, we have a record. And in the lobby also, and also outside the entrance." Boonlua Chatree, who covers the police beat for the local weekly, Pattaya Mail, said the police were paying special attention to Middle Easterners, many of whom congregate in a small area known as Little Saudi. He said prejudice against Middle Easterners is quite strong here among both residents and visitors. On what is called Walking Street, in the heart of the city's entertainment district, one open-fronted bar has posted a sign that reads: "No Arab people to sit down here. We do not want Arab people consuming alcohol or molesting women. We respect your belief in Islam."
  22. just a little FYI, not a really good article IMO but here it is http://www.nytimes.com/2003/06/20/internat...THAI.html?8hpib The only thing i got from it was now would be a good time to visit. And I did find the last quote about arabs not being allowed in a bar quite funny. Not the part that they don't allow them in just the quote of "....We do not want Arab people consuming alcohol or molesting women. We respect your belief in Islam."
  23. Harv, Great report . What was your room rate?
  24. Well I'll get a little more specific I'm speaking in terms of taking out the staff in order to get closer to one so you can shag them. It's hard enough trying to keep psycho BG's away from you the last thing most people need is the person that works at the place they're staying to stalk them on there trip. it's happened to me b4, I did it once and I'll never do it again. Maybe this situation was/is different here but I'm just speaking on taking out staff the GFE way.
  25. As posted in the members section. http://www.freelancerbar.com/cgi-bin/yabb/...;num=1055444900 Stayed at Eastiny place b4 for 1 night , didn't have any problems. A good way to be proactive so stuff like this doesn't occur is to check and/or pay mini bar tab daily or if you won't be using it have maid remove all contents of bar. Also I would strongly advise all not to "take out" the employees of a hotel you are staying at if you are involved in the P4P scene. just my cents.
