  1. Yep, Sandy wants advance paying. This summer I paid in advance once every week. Last time, in March, I paid every 4th day. Up to you how often you want to pay... As for the noise, the windows (for most rooms) are on the other side of the building, but there is an open (no wall out) hallway against the Pattaya Beach Condo, and I can not imagin the doors to the rooms are stopping too much noise. I remember my door was full of small holes (I could actually watch into the room from outside...) PS! When they were pile driving for Dynasty Inn, I was living at the old AA Hotel, and I could
  2. Mats! The jacuzzi is in the bathroom. At least it was in the room I used for a short time.... Very large room, and huge bed.... Tor
  3. Thanks Turbo. I'll stay away from Soi 13 the next few months. I'll be on a low budget on my next trip anyway, so I will try the Intown Holiday at 550 a night (in Soi 10 on 2nd Road). Tor
  4. Mike! I've seen people drinking 5 or more every night, and after a few nights they really get the 'shitter'. So I assume it is not the best for the stomach.... I never had any problems with it myself, but I usually never drink more than one a day. Tor
  5. So it is the light yellow building, right accross the street from Sandy Spring? What type of room is the one with a rate of 600? And thanks for the info Emil! Tor
  6. Emil! Do you have anymore info on the "Inn House"? Like web address, or other contact info, how are the rooms, prices, any balconys, just about everything? :) I lived in Soi 13 for 4 weeks this sumer, and did not notice this place.... For my next stay I need to go a bit more 'budget' unfortunatly. Spent way to much on the July/August trip. Tor
  7. If my memory serves my correctly, on the day before I went home on the 15th, they were putting up the sign above the entrance on that new building at the end of Soi 13 (2nd Road side). Oposit Lek Hotel. And I think it read Dynasty Inn. If so, it looks like it will be a pretty nice hotel with balconys. Would guess there is still some work to be done inside before opening, but probably in not to long. Tor
  8. My little tiirak called me a few months back, and said she was hungry an needed some money. Because her husband in england is kin jao and was only sending her 5000 bath a month. Not enough for disco, gambling and smoking weed I guess.... PS! She married this english guy while I stayed with her for 3 months this winter. I gave her two weeks off, and went for some fun in Angels City 8) Lovely aren't they? ;D Tor
  9. Liverpool plays Thailands national team in BKK in two weeks time (can't remember the exact date). probably the 23rd or 25th July. Would not mind going myself, and watch some real FOOTBALL! Tor
  10. Is Mike's Beach Hotel the colourful one (yellow, blue...?) along Beach Road? If so, it looked nice from the outside.... Tor
  11. Hi Vanilla! Only found one picture that showes the room reasonably. This is taken from the balcony on the Soi 13 side of the room: This is the view from the balcony on the pool side of the room: Again, this is the delux room, and they are larger than the standard rooms. Hope it helps! Tor
  12. Hi Mats! I'll be there from 17th July to 15th August, so I might see you around. I will certainly be at Bens party on the 21st. I booked it from Krageroe Reisebyraa (same as Kalinka Tours). Talk to Ragnhild, and say hello from me if you call. She is very helpful, and I order all my tickets from her now. Telephon numer is 35 98 99 60. I can give you her direct number by e-mail, if you have problem with the main number. It is a good price. They did have july tickets to 5000,- too, but they went very fast, so I had to go up a little bit. Tor
  13. Vanilla and Bigmike! I actually got a slightly better price than you. But it is not much. Anyway, I'm not that happy as it is the same price that I got in March (high season). Also, I have the option to live in a house for about 5000 bath (1 month), but it is a little way out from the centre of action. Really no problem, as I stayed there for 11 weeks this winter, and the ride home did sober me up at times 8) It seems to me that you might get a better price if you just walk in from the street, compared to booking in advance. As for pictures, I had a delux room the two weeks I stay
  14. Mats! I got FinnAir in July for 6300,- If I had travelled in June or August, it would have been about 5000,- And that is including taxes. I have never used FinnAir before, so I have no idea if they are good or not. Tor
  15. Vanilla! What price did you get from Sandy Spring? The prices I was quoted for July, were the same that they gave me during high season. Which is a little to high in my opinion. Tor
  16. Anyone have any info on this hotel? Good? Bad? Location? Prices? I know it is somewhere between Soi Buakhao and 3rd Road, but that is all I know. Any links to a web site? Thanks! rot66
  17. Winsdor Suites is a very nice hotel. Stayed there one night in July... We got suites for about 2600 bath, which usually costs around 8000..., nice room, two TVs. It should be possible to get these at around 1000 in low season, when ordered through some internet booking company. But of course they had not registered our bookings at the hotel.... We had been told that they were not guest friendly, but that the trick was to enter by the garage and take the elevator up from there.... A bit of a bummer when comming back with the girl, going down into the garage, and finding there was no elevato
