Canterbury Tales Cafe
overseasplease replied to thaidave991's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
Wasn't trying to infer anything. Simply posting that he wishes to sell the place. He's asked me to post it for him as well as answer any questions via email or in person if need be. He's in England at the moment for a funeral and is not "on the ground" so to speak if anybody comes by to have a look. He's a friend, friends help each other out when needed...it's that simple. LOL I rarely post much anymore and still get dragged into the forum drama... This thread will go on forever so I'm unsubscribing. PM me lovedog in the future -
Canterbury Tales Cafe

I do have a big set of balls son Been doing TRs for years on a few of the boards and when I am on the boards I try to be helpful and informative At least if you're going to imply that I'm Dave come out and say it. Guess I've somehow been running his place from Iraq, Afghanistan, and the US for the last 4.5 years. Martin knows who I am, Hammer knows who I am, Kessaya knows who I am. Just because we're both fat doesn't mean we're the same person. Seems you've really been doing some digging though...lol I'm a friend of the owner and thought he had a nice place. I enjoy going there to hang out and drink. As for the sales thread he asked me if I could put it up for him because he's not so great on computers or the internet. Anything else you need to know maybe you can address it here or PM in the future if you believe a conspiracy is afoot. Have a great day (even though it's just started raining ). I reckon a rainy day here though is better than a clear one back home..............eh? -

You're right. I switched it in the OP to clarify.

2nd road Soi 10 is maybe 20 meters down from Soi Honey on the right hand side. Then the bar is about another 20-30 meters down the soi on the right hand side.
-
Fair enough...thanks for replying to the thread.

Are most bars in Pattaya not? I don't own a bar myself, but I'd assume that the owner and the service you provide would make or break the bar. A lot of owners could care less about the customer, a lot of owners tank in town Look at the Cherry Bar. The looks of the bar are "bog-standard", but it's well known because Adam has a broad online presence and takes care of his customers. You're absolutely right Mr. Emil. Definitely not a big money maker here, but more of one of those "Yeah, I own a bar in Thailand" kind of things. As well as a way to live here for free basically...if you break even or come out ahead.
-
The inside bar area is 37sqm. There is also the sizeable space with tables and chairs outside of the bar.
-
Actually yes...that's pretty much it. Basically the 1baht is moot...you'd be taking over payments.

Please, feel free to ask any other questions. OSP

Party at Maxie's Bar

Negative...now it's owned by a gentlemen from Australia. -
I'm up for any of the comps. Just a single golfer from the US, but don't care who I play for as long as I play. If there's anybody else who'd like to play and just wants to have some fun days of golf then that'd be fine by me and we might get lucky wink.gif No clue what my handicap is...I'd say I average about 100 strokes/18 holes - I'm bad...birdie's rare, pars medium, bogey's often. 22 August...what's up with the Ban Chang boat crawl? -
Um...I just walked in on the second "soft opening" night with no problems. It wasn't the greatest gogo, but wasn't bad at all. Actually it'll be my first stop tonight just to see if anything's changed for the better or for the worse. From what I've seen here and on PA the rep who's been posting for the gogo has been pretty responsive and taken all criticism well.

75sqm area off of Second rd for rent. Soi 10 Would be ideal for a cafe. Was previously used as a cafe and now it's currently being used as a laundry room. Has aircon fitted. Rent is 13,000 per month, but can be as low as 10,000 per month if paid up to a year. Key money for 3 years is 125,000 baht. If you have any questions please leave them here on the thread or contact Dave at FawltyTowersPattaya.com

55sqm bar located in Soi 10, Second Road. 20 meters from Soi Honey and next door to Fawlty Towers Guest House. Basically the bar is ready to be signed over and the new owner would take over payments. Currently the key money for 3 years is 200,000 baht and the rent would be 12,000 baht per month. Contract can be 3years + 3years +3years if you would like. The bar is fully functional and ready to be taken over. A sign would be the only thing you'd want to add. If you have questions please leave them here on the thread or contact Dave at FawltyTowersPattaya.com

Couldn't find any threads about this yet, so here goes. BigBabyKenny.com was shut down by the owner for a few days (now it's back up) after a petition from Change.org pointed him out as running a site giving inside information on the "slave trade" in Thailand's redlight districts. It's the same shit as always where a group gets together (who I would imagine have know idea about how the sex industry work in LOS, can't prove that though) and go balls to the wall without any reasoning and attack an individual/group/website. Anyways...here are some links to some of the articles about this http://humantrafficking.change.org/blog/vi...hai_sex_tourism http://humantrafficking.change.org/blog/vi...ex_tourism_site http://www.topix.net/forum/source/los-ange...SD4TDE6OBQHD0B9 I posted a comment on the last article as "Lost in the Wind", but reading through some of the others it will be no help at all. Honestly it scares me reading some of the shit coming out of these people. Just read up on it a bit more...the site's there, but I guess all of the original material was taken down. Supposedly there was some beef between that site and another popular Thai blog. The other blog started the cause to get the other site shut down and then the women's lib folks latched on.

I can say that I've never had any F&Cs as good as homemade fried catfish w/hush puppies 'n french fries (and coleslaw...almost forgot). (Never been to England though). I do like F&Cs a lot though As far as Gooses goes...I liked it. I had good service, but I was usually the only person there. Their tartar sauce stood out. I wouldn't have a clue what proper mushy peas taste like, but I guess they were ok at Gooses. The chips were good. The price was high...that's about the only negative thing I can say about the place.

sold...thanks
