It was another fantastic night at Shooters, as mamasang Waow celebrated another year. Here are the pics: Waow with her husband Doug, our kind co-hosts for the evening. Waow and friends kick off the party. My Thai brother Woot stopped by from TQ2 to wish me well. Shooters staff gets into the party mood. The party picks up steam. Hey, guys! We will be having a party Wednesday night, July 18, to celebrate the birthday of our mamasang, Waow, and also as a send-off (or maybe good riddance for some of you) for yours truly, who leaves Thursday night late to return to the Land of Scowls. Last night was the first night of our several-day soft opening. Things went remarkably smoothly considering how quickly the construction went, and considering the many derelicts who showed up and didn't break anything. Some pics: Our mate, Secrets BM Erdinger, had the honor of being our first customer. Or is that, "we had the honor of having Erdinger as our first customer"? Whatever. He also graced the lovely Yu with the first Shooters lady drink. Our friend and partner Alan (far right) mixed it up with some friends. Manfred was our first bell ringer. Of course, he put it on MY bill... Jason from NLD1 stopped by specifically to make me jealous over his beautiful girlfriend. Bastard! Brian and some mates stopped by to mix it up and grab some ass. My good mate Stan double-fisted as usual. Stay out from under that bike, Stan! Manfred chatters at the shooter bar. The boys do the "Shooters sign". Don't forget it, there WILL be a quiz. The posse from The Rockhouse stopped by for a tipple. Thanks, boys! Our mate Mike came by to razz me. My dear friend Andy came all the way from Bangkok just to prove that he can attract more beautiful women than I ever could. Then things REALLY went to shit. We had a visit from Secrets board members Badtz, Terry Lee, djs2799, mgc, welbeck and that lot. Welbeck gets the Gate. What a bar owner has to put up with! Dan makes a wish. I'm sure Andy will never be back after this... Terry lost this one by a long shot. Bet he wishes it had "come to blows" for real... Secrets mod mgc holding court. We will resume the free food promotion soon after we open. BobsBBQ is ripping his hair out right now, being involved with both Shooters and opening his second location in Carrefour. We're giving Bob some slack on the free grub, although we expect to have his food available by the time we grand-open on the 4th. And yes, the tacos are pretty damn good, especially slathered with Bob's own recipe taco sauce. Yer makin' me hungry now!

Mine and everybody else's, mate. Or, you could roll 3 or 4 of the crippled beggars that work Beach Road and Walking street. They don't move so fast. Also, if you show up outside Wat Chai on Pattaya Dtai at about 5 in the morning, you can probably get some food from the monks' begging bowls. No telling how much money you could save!

And a very nice girl into the bargain.

I want to report to you guys, Manfred and I were in The Rockhouse tonight and it was FUCKIN' HAPPENIN! Drinks were flying, great music was on the stereo, and I had (and still have at this writing) a very beautiful Rockhouse girl in my close proximity. We had the pleasure of supping drinks with many BMs, so numerous that I am too drunk to name them (rawlins comes to mind). Get over there, mates! This bar fucking ROCKS!

I have just had an SMS from my lovely friend Gate, and she informs me the names of the places we went last night are (her spellings BTW) Restaurant: Ninja Mookata; Live Music Pub: Kumpun Pub. The restaurant was on third road almost as far north as Big C; the pub is on Soi 2.

Sunny Valentine and Bruce Mangosteen took the staff of Shooters out for an evening of fun, food and alcohol, and didn't even charge them for it! :) A great time was had by all. We even ran into our friend RobinBay on our travels, and, with our full encouragement, he cherry-picked one of our girls for his own private party later that evening. :) We went to a BBQ restaurant on 3rd road, then a live-music joint on Soi 2. My mate Sunny will be along shortly with more pics and the names of the places. All I know is they both had copious amounts of Tiger Beer and didn't run out. Well, we had a Shooters staff night out last night (of which I remember most of it) and there will be a thread momentarily with some pics of those who attended.
