They can be so shy sometimes. Unfortunately I have no such advantage. The vantage point of this condo has its benefits though. -

Given the 1/40 sec shutter speed she wouldn't have needed a tripod unless you and she were ...erm... multitasking. She would have needed it in "nighttime" or "fireworks" mode though. -

Make sure that you look at the setup menu system before making up your mind. It's a bit obtuse as compared to, say, my Canon A1100IS. The 10x optical zoom is also great but makes the camera a bit heavy for a shirt pocket. In all, I'm glad I have both cameras. -

BWAHAHAHA!!! Amazing how much data is in them photos eh? Actually, unless she was using a tripod, she was lucky she wasn't using the "fireworks" or "nighttime" options, as they leave the shutter open longer. -

There were presentations from several countries, accounting for the pauses between shows. Unfortunately I arrived back home from Ayutthaya toward the end of it, accounting for why there aren't more pictures. You could see it from the highway on the way here though, very cool. -

Actually, if I had my druthers I'd have selected a shutter speed closer to 5-10 seconds. It would have given good clarity but not left the shutter open so long that so many shells went off. I do! Actually, I think a shutter speed between 5 and 10 seconds would have been better. At 15 seconds I found I ran the risk of having so many fireworks going off that it created just a blotch. -

Thanks guys. -
A few shots of the Mother's Day fireworks, taken from my window here in View Talay 1. Camera is a Panasonic Lumix TZ3. Most pics were taken with a 15 second shutter speed. The three darker ones were taken with a 2 second shutter speed, just as an experiment. Unfortunately, this camera has no speed settings between 2 and 15 seconds that I can find.

If I understand correctly, deleting a folder won't make any difference. Photobucket limits how many times the pictures in your account have been accessed (basically); if that number of times has been exceeded then you have to wait until next month. Note that "next month" is the day after tomorrow. However, you could always just make another account, then that account will have the same bandwidth limit as the other one, effectively doubling your bandwidth allowance for free. Fook knows why they limit you given that you can do this.

Bob moved from Pattaya Tai to LK Metro because he thought that would be an opportunity to improve his business. If he had failed on Pattaya Tai he could scarcely have afforded to move I'd think. His partnership situation only became an issue when Steve Blumenthal died. Before that Bob and Steve were doing quite well. Bob had an outlet in TQ2 that also did well, but it became unsustainable after Steve died. Bob was not able to reach a suitable accommodation in TQ2 after that. Bob was one of the original partners in Shooters. His departure again was not necessarily because he was not doing well in that location. He felt he was stretched too thin. Also, Shooters was never going to be a major success in the food department regardless who had the kitchen. The location and setup of the venue was not conducive for the kind of turn-over you need to make a kitchen very profitable. IMO the issue is that Bob's business model is a tough nut to crack in this town. He wants to duplicate Texas barbecue in Pattaya at a reasonable price. Problems with that include the inferior quality of Thai beef (necessitating the use of more expensive imported beef), and limited availability of authentic-tasting ingredients which requires many of them to be imported. Thai flour also has a markedly-different consistency to that found in the US and Mexico, making the production oc tasting breads and tortillas a chore. I wish Bob all the best. He's a good guy who gave it his best shot in a tough town against long odds.

It's mentioned in the linked Wiki article. Most of us have heard it referred to as a "ghost chili".

I one time ate a habanero pepper. It was like chewing on a hot coal and my mouth burned for 3 days.

Seconded. VERY good food at good prices.

Found many instances on the web, virtually all say the guy was an American applying to Walmart. Example: http://www.funnyfunpages.com/walmartap.htm

Naah, I've been goofing with local-area networks since the 1980s. I don't dye my hair white you know. -

Then one or the other end of the DHCP is not working. You should ask the tech guy where you're staying to check things out. Good luck.
